Exactly, the percentage arent very high, but all it takes is 1 quality female.
A few cuttings later and a some time and you have a closet full of good plants.

I got lucky, i was expecting to have to grow 20+ plants until I found something worth cloning.
I got 2 out of 15 that seem to be worth the effort.

Those 2 were completely different than the other candidates, squat, vigorous, and bushy as hell. Now those seeds came from the same buds that the junky plants were from. I have to assume they got polinated by different males, or one parent is more of a dominant Indica strain.

I wouldn't think that huge outdoor commercial grows are just one strain. Its more of a grab bag of genetics, most of the time you get something average....but once in a while you hit the jackpot.

I must disagree. While those words are truthfull, they are not completely accurate. My first year + as well as a friends was from bag seeds. We saved the seeds from the best bud the dealers had all year long, and in the end we both came out with good quality grows. Strong , diverse plants that yielded just fine. Like someone said before all it takes is is one keeper. The downside to this is that at times you will have phenos within the same run that are undesirable, that is where the time and work sucks. To grow something with middle of the road results due to bad genetics, but out of all of my bagseed grows, I found at least one amazing keeper female, in every 12 plant run. Those were experiments when i first started. I do recommend now starting with good known genetics. I even found a batch of feminized seeds that do not hermie in some bag weed. 7 of 7 female the fist run, and 4/4 the second. And my friends loved the smoke. and i still got 14 of those babies left

Probably made by "safety net bananas" from the plant not being harvested early enough. These are pretty safe to use for pollination.

well my current grow is bagseed schwag, but i feel just about any sensi crop has the chance of being some killa kill... starin names do have genetics backing them but like the guy above me said, give any plant some love, figure out what phenos you want to keep and pass on, and you may end up with a strain name of your own one day...
