how to reduce stretch?

During veg period use a Metal H. bulb instead of HPS. Indica grows much shorter. Train them to stay out of the lights. I use 8 guage insulated wire - Twist the wire around stems to train in any direction.

20150516_125440.jpg 20150516_125330.jpg 20150516_125446.jpg I use mh for veg and hps for flower... here's my girls at day 18 under one of my 400s. They're finally starting to fill out... I keep the light as close as I can and move it up as needed every few days while keeping the canopy as even as possible. .. If I were you I would keep your light as close as possible and move it up as Needed. I always use the haND test... good luck!

Very interesting. .. I definitely use LST. I also been using this 5000k hps all the way from veg to flower. Also I keep then about 4 feet from the light. it can get pretty hot under there. Also I had some trouble with this strain in the beginning and that might have messed with it. anywho, get advice

Here's a couple of pics from my flower tent day 45.
10x5 tent with 2 400w hps running Dutch master nutes.

I use hps for flower and veg cycles :)
Is there a way stop stretching? Yes and it has nothing to do with the spectrum of your lights lol.
One last thing I did absolutely no training during flower.

I run 400's and 7 feet away is too far. Do you have glass covered hoods ? If not your better off to invest in them. Your yields should increase seeing as how you ciouldn't do much worse :)

That's beautiful, I just assumed that I wasn't pumping enough light and the plants where stretching to reach it... idk.. it could also he the strain, this is the first time this happens and I always run my grows the same way, i attached a pic of my last grow. I grew that about 2 and a half feet and chopped it, didnt have the space. These where seedmens white widow FEM. They gave me a run for my money the first few weeks of veg. one plant didn't make it, it was about 27 days and wasnt even 6 inches...

Auswolf pics are perfect examples of an awesomely even canopy. If you have super stretchy strains (and alot of times you cannot control it with light), prune them back they wont miss a beat. IM not sure why people are so against pruning them back and think lst is a better way to go bc its not. When you lst it takes up more space and the plant goes into repair mode. When pruning back they scab over on the cut and never miss a beat....ever taken clones off a plant before?...well...they never miss a beat do they;)
