How to stop my plant budding

I have a plant about 1m tall and its budding.

I want to stop the plant from budding outside. Can I just leave it budding and it will eventually grow out of it or will it die?

It's outside so I can't put it under lights .

I have a box for clones but the plant wont fit in it and I prefer not to have it inside.

outside, i don't think there is much you can do since we can't control the sun. it may be placed in a spot were its heavily shaded for part of the day which is telling the plant to bud...i thinks its growing season is almost over so its budding with what its got
