as bad as it sounds there is no way to stop it from growing up so bend her around a bit LST (low stress training) if you tie her up to the wall and do a lil bending you'll be fine.. the plant is like puddy in your hands ,she will go and grow where ever you bend her but it will always head for the light. another tip lay a peice of wire mesh over her just enough to keep it from going any further and anything that comes thru just bend it back into the mesh.. KEEP ON GROWIN..

I also agree that the only way is to bend (use your thumb and index finger gently) the main stalk over at 90 deg where you want your plants vertical height to stop. Other than that, you could 1) cut the top of them and then try to tie down the side branches with some twine so the leaves grow out and not up or 2) buy dutchmaster phosphoload, which stops all verticle growth (it's quite pricey though)...http://www.gchydro.com/Dutch+Master+PhosphoLoad,+1L.html

I would LST or tie them down at this point, If you decide to prune I would take the tops of the terminal buds. Also do any and all pruning during their day time to discourage vertical growth. good luck!

and depending on your strain if you have completed two weeks of flowering you may find that the vertical growth slows and stops and they start to fill out instead. my strain does this almost on cue after 14-17 days flowering
good luck

Yeah at this late in the grow listing is probably your only real option. Always remember indicas will double to triple in height once in flower and sativas will triple or more in flower so keep that in mind when vegging. If this was in veg you could have super cropped or topped.
