How to tell how much power you are using?

Hi all so i just got a call from the rental company saying our elec. bill was three times higher than most. I'm running two 8 light T5's one 4 light T5 a small bathroom fan intake a larger outtake fan and a couple of smaller oscillating fans. I'm running 1 eight prong air pump for my dwc buckets. I have had flower in the smaller room but just switched to the bigger room so it should help having the two bigger lights off half the day and my outtake fan shouldnt have to run as much being cooler in there but does it sound like this setup should be using a lot of power? Went with T5's so i would use less and have less heat. I'm looking at what's running in the rest of the house as well but just curious what your thoughts are. I don't want an exact number as i know I would have to calculate based on what uses how much etc.. Just wondering if it sounds like this setup would suck power grr I don't need them calling again next month so i need to figure something out. Thanks

Just tell them your using a electric heater/ air con / pottery spinning thing or some other electric heavy thing and ask them whats the problem as long as the bill is paid and to mind there own buisness...

Yes it will, so come up with a excuse like an couple of AC's in the summer and few heaters in the winter. If your landlord pay's your electric you will have problems unfortunately, unless you offer to pay any costs over the norm. Most landlords will accept that. All they want is to be paid.

8 tube t5`s are over 400w each

however move to a different supplier and tell them you have a hot tub

yes our electric is included that's the problem. I told them i just bought 3 air purifiers which I actually did and thats adding to it. We live in what used to be navy housing so there are a ton of people in the neighborhood and they pay for everything but unfortunately we have seperate meters so they can tell what we are using. Hopefully switching rooms will cut down on it since the bis lights will no be off for 12. If not i have no idea how to cut down any more :-(
