How to test if this is web or mold?

how can I test this to see if it's a spider mite web or some kind of mold? Like a test that's garunteed. Like will mold react to something that a spider mite web wouldn't? Or the other way around? Thanks

You can see some black dots. Might just be from the cubes or something tho? Or are they eggs.

Only thing I can think of is take a sample and try to grow it like mold. If it grows it's mold...

you`ve got spider mites for sure

but there maybe some mold on the really hard hit leaf just cos it can get in there

your going to have to spray, I would spray for mould the 1st time and add something for spider mites too

neem oil normally does them in

Or that stuff they make from flowers

hell cinnamon and dish soap can get rid of spider mites

spray every 2 to 4 days or once to twice a week for 1 to 2 weeks then again a few weeks later

spider mites hate higher humidity but that`s when mould gets involved

That is a severe mite infestation, you should be able to locate an adult.. Mites don't fly they ride the wind so when you see that much web it means they are on the move. Let them ride directly into your charcoal filter, i.e. put the fans blowing toward your filter.. Get the sticky shit you put on the stems.. After you wreck their day on moving around treat them.. In veg I hit them with a pyrtheum (spelling?) fogger.. I like NPS strips, azatrol to water with and mighty wash to spray with.. That combination wiped out the russet mite..

Don't listen to people that say you're doomed.. If you fight hard you win

I don't see any adults. Not even with a microscope. Didn't see anything on the webs either
I'm throwing the clones away.
What do I do to my plants in flower?
I don't like smoking sprayed weed very much. Is this a one time thing or is it going to be a headache?

Grab a piece and tug it. It should be stuck to the plant like a spider web. It should also stretch a little before breaking, like a spider's web. Mold is powdery and will rub off. Some of your leaves are curled and webbed up. Spider mites partner.
What should I do to my plant going on week three of flower? I don't see anything on them

Did you take cuttings ? or get some clones from someone ?

Sometimes the establish better on weaker plants but getting the RH higher normally gets rid of them

Try neem oil they`ll leave the plant fast, you can sometimes actually see them leaving the plant after you spray it

It`s best to make up a tub or bucket with something that`ll kill bugs and rot and help rooting, dip cuttings into that the whole cutting that way you cut down on bringing in bugs or bugs attacking your cuttings before they root up

Volcanic dust can be good at reducing insects too

sure as hell looks like spider mites webs normally they hit hard when you bring a cutting from outside and try to root it inside without spraying it

The cuttings are from the same plants.

THIS IS AN OLD PICTURE, but it looks similar to what to what I have now. It was on a mesh bucket lid in my hydroton. Like some mold or something. Looks very similar. Are you positive that this is mites?
Is there anyway to test it? Will h2o2 destroy a web? It will destroy mold won't it?

They must be there or maybe that is regular spider webs.. They don't like light so quickly look with a jewlers loupe on the bottom of the lowest leafs.. Regards to treating mid flower I dunno because my response both times was to kill my flowering plants.. I have heard you can use 10000+ ppm co2 but that still leaves mites behind not to mention it is dangerous. My controller goes to 2500 so what do I do?, I suppose you cpuld put a feeder mouse in there and if he dies we met the right ppm? Might end up dying lol No Pest Strips is what many use but I am sensitive to almost everything so I have to go scorched earth..

No such thing as a mite that isn't there though.. If it's a sunny day in your grow you can see them with a 30x loupe, actually mine is 30/60 dual loupe but many here use those 25x glasses.. Then once you have him on a leaf take the leaf so you can putunder a microscope.

So should I just spray with need oil? What's the safest thing to spray with? If I spray now is there a chance I won't see any webs on my big plants that I care about

My feelings is the quote from MeJ below is what I'd personally go with.
I've not had to deal with that infestation - Knocks OW, but that sounds like a solid plan.

I hit them with a pyrtheum (spelling?) fogger.. I like NPS strips, azatrol to water with and mighty wash to spray with.

One of these days people are going to figure out,its best to grow from seed or take your own clones. These things spread like the plague, and once your grow room is infested. Its a ton of work getting it clean again.

actually that looks more like something called "root aphids" or root mites, never had them but they give a webbing in the root zone and it would explain why you seem to have what looks like spidermites and mold at the same time

Spinosad will kill them in the usa you guys get something called "montgomery" plant spray or something

in the uk I have to use something called "ant stop granules" to get spinosad easy

It pretty much nukes all insects its a soil bacteria they found under an old rum distillery beats the stuff they make from left over sugarcane

That picture was taken a couple months ago, then I hit it with h2o2 and had a root rot outbreak. Just got done with that... I saw this on the clones that I took from my OWN plants.

SO, NOONE THINKS THIS IS COBWEB MOLD/MILDEW?
For spider mites the guy at the store recommended mighty gone which is safe up to the day of harvest
For mold/mildew safer brand or serenade

Guys that is mold from leaving the dome on for to long, as you can see all new growth is dead, roots have fuzzy mold growing due to wet cubes and some left on.

Would a web react to h2o2? I know mold will.. Maybe I can do some kind of TEST? That is what the post is asking. I would hate to treat the wrong thing
