I do it all the time and have a SH bubbleponic. Take the plants out of the soil gently and take them to the sink and run them under a small stream of mid range tempature water to remove all dirt. Load up the hydrotron in the net basket to about 1 inch. Gently lay your bare-rooted plant over the hydrotron and fill the basket to the top. Set up your lights, load with PH balanced water and 1/4 strength nutes for the first week. Give them half a dose it things are going well and increase by 1/4 for the next two week. The only thing I do different than a standard rock wool grow is mist the plants with plain old water daily until the roots hit the water (about 2 weeks max) There are other people to help you. See the link below. There are experts there.

I have a sink with a garbage disposal and a water nozzle. It works great. I've only done it once though. I had to many mommas and I didn't wanna wait for veg. :)
