got a 600watt MH light doing really good with the veg (3 weeks in).
would rather not have to drop another 150 bucks or so to set up a HPS.

how well will the MH do with the flowering? will it be tragic? i've read that the combo of MH and HPS being used together is awesome for flowering...

some advice would be much appreciated.
thanks muchacos.

Believe it or not, at one people only used Metal Halide for the entire grow.

However you will see more bud development with HPS.

You can always try a conversion bulb to save cost of new fixture

It will work. Just about any light switched to a 12 hours on 12 hours off cycle will cause a plant to fruit. HPS bulbs are just more efficient at what they do because they pump out a certain spectrum of light that mimics the dog days of summer/fall.
