How would I go about adding moisture back into some overdried bud. Need help please.

Basically my outdoor crop had to be stored in a shed for quite some time before I could get to the trimming. I'd say about half my crop is bone dry. Right now everything trimmed and in mason jars and they have been there for about 2 weeks yet the buds remain dry. To the point where it almost turns into dust in a grinder.

Now I've heard people say that adding bread in the curing jars would help. Anyone can testify to this or have better suggestions? Is it somewhat reversible at all?

Thank you in advance.

when its just a small bag, leave it open in the bathroom, while you take a shower. A big lot im not so sure it will work. from my experience its ok if you just need to prolong a bag for a day or two, but once it does dry out, its much worse than it was.

You may need to think about a water cure, itl suck the taste out, but youll be left with smooth smoke at least.

ziplock bag + sponge...wet sponge...put in ziplock bag...place bag in airtight container with weed, leave ziplock bag open...rewet sponge as needed to transfer humidity back into the plant...as long as you dont drench the shit out the sponge repeatedly every day you shouldn't get mold...its just a transference of moisture gently :)

From experience, I would never use any plant or food matter. For me it almost always ends up with ruining the smell.

I would go with massah's advise and use a sponge. I've used wet paper towels, and even a little cup with water in the container. Also, use a hygrometer to check the rh so you don't go overboard.

Agreed.

FWIW, I use whatever is handy at the time: a sponge-filled hydrating disk (can be purchased in any tobacco shop), citrus peal, fan leaf, a small piece of lettuce, a slice of carrot, etc. Typically, I bring the product up from ~50% to ~70% - takes ~24 hours for a pound or so - then take out the re-hydrating agent, but leave the hygrometer inside. The humidity is monitored for the next couple of days, as the moisture distributes itself, and then the bud is good to go. HTH

Sence it's out door I'm guessing you got alot of jars. Put them in the bath room opened. Run shower on hot and stem the room. After about 15 min or so feel nugs if soft put lids on and take out of bathroom. 4 hrs later burb jars and check RH of the jar. If 60% keep burping like normal cure. If over wet leave jars open a few hours. If under 50% fold and wet a piece of paper napkin and place in jar and seal.

Thank you guys for the super fast and reliable feedback, I did the ziplock/sponge method and so far so good. You can really feel it in the nugs that they are getting their moisture back. Again, a big thanks to everyone!!
