these are both done using 2x 600w cool tubes, i think 1200w is enough in a space this big, it would be interesting to see if the 2k could give you 40% more yield, i doubt it.

the first one is with a drainage table and small plants, i think this si ideal because 600watters cant penetrate beyond a foot. maybe just grow in trays like the second one as you can utelise more vertical space with the penetration a 1k gives you

I also use 2-600's in a 4x8 tent with BlockBuster 8" hoods. If you don't have a/c to control temps, the 1000's will be a beast to cool in that space. Either way, I would go with at least an 8" fan in your situation to move the hot air from two bulbs faster, something in the 700+cfm range to further echo others. ATB!

haha 100 oz from 2 600watts, i wish. the most i had out of the top set-up was 1600g with critical+ (shit commercial weed). the top pic i got 40 oz from 40 plants with no veg, the bottom pic is still going so we shall see. depending on where you are in the world you can get away with a 6" rvk to cool 2x 600w. i currently use an 8" because we had a relatively hot summer, i couldn't imagine cooling 2x 1k bulbs i bet it would take a 10".

i think it would be impossible to get 100 oz from an 8x4 space, growing horizontally anyway. i'd love to see it done though.

That would be over three ounces per square foot, about a kg per square meter. It's within the realm of the possible, but not the likely. Everything would have to be dialed in perfectly, and without the serious mishaps that could befall such a dense grow, notably pests or mold. Especially mold. cn

when i grew critical, i still had the table in there, this restricted airflow and i lost two of the biggest buds to budrot. i have never even seen pm in any of my grows because i use dehumidifiers and keeps temps stable. if i did another run of critical i could grow them taller and maybe get better airflow and maybe push the boundaries a bit further. if i want to get 100 oz from an 8x4 horizontally i will need 3 x 1k lights for sure. i think i just set myself a new challenge

critical is basically big bud, i don't sell much of my weed, usually just enough to pay bills etc. i prefer to grow lower yielding strains that produce better quality these days.

i have an amazing strain at the minute called deep blue bred by a member of this site, it yields well and is one of the nicest smokes i have had , it is by far the strongest smelling stuff i have grown.

it is a female clone only from the uk known as livers/blues, it is legendary in the north of england as cheese is in the south. it grows quite stretchy and stinks so much you need a filter while in veg.

it was crossed to a deep purple male from tga genetics, being an indica this adds a more relaxing body stone whilst shortening the flowering time, it also makes the plant susceptable to turning purple under lower temperatures.

it was then backcrossed again to the livers to ensure that the end product was more like the clone only strain but in seed form. it takes 7 weeks to flower is quite a short plant and as i mentioned earlier it stinks!.

sorry to the guy who started this thread if it seems like we are jacking your thread, we just like to talk about pot, there's nothing wrong with that.

Well thought i would follow along i don't have a tent but my room is 4x8 :-P currently running a 1000 watter hps and a 400 mh.Nice setup ghb i am thinking really hard about going back to scrog.My room is dismantled and i am staring at it wandering what to do.

image.jpg I have 2 600 none cool tubes and if I had not got the lights for 100 piece I would have went with 2x1000 cool tubes but with the right strain and super cropping ,trimming pruning, timing the switch to flower at the right height you can get very good yields ,there is lots of types in that tent
