How's Humboldt??

How are all our friends in Humboldt???? Heard there was a quake there today and knocked out utilities there. Anybody know?????

An earthquake 27 miles off the Californian coast today caused damages and power outages throughout Humboldt County and the city of Eureka today. Fortunately, the National Weather Service has announced that there is no threat of tsunami. Power outages have been reported in Eureka, and road, power line, and minor structural damage has been reported across Humboldt County. The earthquake hit at about 4:26pm and caused no injuries. The quake caused many to rush to hardware stores to purchase emergency items, like bottled water and generators, just in case.

After seeing this post I called some friends there and they said It seemed was "mild, no worries" hope that's the case for everyone!

Not so mild for me. I was driving on a bumpy road an hour north, and didn't even notice it. When I got home: part of my glassblowing workbench was knocked over, broken glass everywhere; a water line broke in my shop and flooded it (squirting up in the air - filled toolboxes and soaked everything); two musical instruments broken; CD shelf in the hall upstairs went down the stairs (hundreds of CDs - lots broken); and overall the whole house is a HUGE mess, broken glass and other shit everywhere.

Nobody was hurt, and the house is still standing, so I guess I should be thankful.
