Hey guys new to the forum and fairly new to growing,(this is for my 2016 outdoor grow) I have 6 seedling, 3 white widow and three Cinderella in Pete pods that were planted into keg cups with potting soil, my soil mid so far is four bags Pete based pro mix potting soil, one 20ish lb bag worm casting one brick of coco choir which expands to a wheel barrow full, one hand full of fish bone meal. I will be gettin compost from a mushroom farm to mix in as well. I have access to lots of soya meal and crushed oyster shell(not ground) what els do you guys think I should add, don't want to make the mix too crazy cause I probably won't have a a lot of time to let it cook (seedlings are all about five inches with second set of leaves) thanks guys

Sigh......It would be a smart move if one would learn how to build one's soil first (not to mention having it ready on time)!

Why do I get the feeling impatience is going to be a "real" problem all grow long here?

This is a great place to start on how to build water only soils.

read the whole thread. Take special note of the variations of the fert mix and how it's used...

Good Luck

Thanks I'll give that a read, I do plan on starting early next year and doing it properly ,didn't realize the preparation required so I basically threw a bunch of stuff together from things that I have read and figured I'd be better off then throwing them in a corn field some where and hoping for the best, I hope this non blue printed mix gives me alright results, just trying to keep things light and I can always add nutes later through watering if need be.

Yeah it's missing things for sure......You'll have to start feeding it somewhere along the line.....You'll learn.

Check out the organic section here. Some soil formulations there.....Good organic growers here too!

I build my own soils - you should learn how to do it = don't short cut and ask for mine LOL...
I do multiple up - pottings and use a veg, and bloom soil at the last up potting.

Good Luck

won't ask for yours lol although I'm sure it is a good one, planning on following subcools super mix next year, but this year I've got to make due, any essentials I'm missing that you would say forsure get in there? My biggest worry is nite burn or I'd be adding bat guano. should I just keep it light as possible and get a bottle of dnf grow And use throughout veg as it won't have much cooking time, also is potting up just to add new fresh food for the plant or do the roots prefer moving up pot sizes as aposed to going from a keg cup to a ten gal pot, thanks
