I recently upgraded to 400w hps for my 2.5x2.5x6 grow tent. I got a perfect ventilation system but when i am using the 400w, the bulb has to be 35 cm away from my plants, in contrast with the 250w that has to be 15 cm away, in order to have 80f temperature. I got 4 plants, which do you think is the best bulb to use?

If you have a cool tube and a way to pump the hot air to another room/outside then go for it. Cool tubes seem amazing from the way people on the forum talk about them.

400 will be awesome in there just vent that hot air out where it cannot be recirculated

Jam that 400 in there bro....trust us. Your plants will love that higher wattage. Cool tubes suck for light spread (great for heat removal) but in that small of a space its negligible. Even cool tubes have there place and your setup is perfect for a 400 watter in a cool tube.
