my hps exploded. we are 2 weeks into flower. the hps is 150 watter...in a small cabinet. we replaced with some cfls for at least a week until the new bulb comes in the mail....will this effect anything at all? please help.

i have read of that happening but never actually heard of the light doing that....what happend?? did u touch the light or did it just burn out. ur plant will prolly be stressed a few days but no long-term damage--unless the bulb exploded on them

nothing really happened the bulb just exploded...no damage and no glass breakage just was real scary to be in the rooms and all of a sudden POOF! SNAP! The light went out and both of us went...oh shit.

good thing is...i didnt know Home Depot sold HPS bulbs of all kinds. We went out and picked one up...cost us 20$. haha thank God for home depot!

In the lighting section...
They probably stash them down lower or up higher. Eye level is always just a sea of overpriced CFL's.

I know they have 400 sylvanias, or sylvans osr somthing like that, I think I saw a few 600s

they have all the yway up to 400 watt is what i saw...for MH and for HPS. They are Phillips too!!
