HPS for veg?

Are you being serious? I am on my 2nd go around and have been wondering about this. .

I use only a 400 watt hps for veg and flower...have noticed lanky plants and whispy buds

Yea. Your plants will grow faster under a hps. But in return you stretch your internode spacing.

These 7 girls are easily twice the size of the ones from my last grow under mh. They are 25 days old. In 3 gallon grow bags with extra holes in used happy frog soil from my last grow. There are 2 Nirvana super skunks 2 hso purple trainwreck and 3 cr+. Hps grows faster and thicker for me, 12 to 18" away from tops and open bulb. im just not seing any stech at all like I did with the same genetics in my last grow

no problem, i as all growers am interested in the best light/yield,, so its just somthing i had to do..ive been growing a long time and did side by side tests of nutrients, then hps vs mh, vs the old 1 watt led's,,,i was always testing something..i finally settled down about 5 years ago, then recently read a article on cmh lamps so back to comparing. i swear im done after this tho.
