hps in a closet, first grow

cool! looks really similar to what i first did although with a lot better material and it's probably more effective to place them like that too, my setup is changed a lot since =P

so i thought maybe i would lst them today anyway since they're so incredibly bushy, there are random sprouts emerging from everywhere inside the plant! i was hoping that lst would make these leaves that now are mostly covered by the bigger ones get a lot more light and therefore give the plant more energy right?

you should try to train her around the pot, im doing it now and shes responding pretty well. and the bottom branches are growing faster than the tops, which is great since id like a lot of clones.
its so much harder than it looks ahhh!:wall:

just massage the stem between your thumb index and middle finger until its flimsy, tie her down and shes good. if you get a break, tie a stick to make a bridge over the stem to unite the break.

very true, i grow outdoors but i wait for them to show sex before i really get into any training. although i am going to start breeding so sex doesnt matter too much anymore, training is like an art to me lol
i wanted to train one of them to grow in a knot, maybe ill do it with a clone.

ive been told if you do it good you get one big bulge in the bud, ill try it with a branch or two. id have to clip the fan leaves though. ill try it in a few weeks, just check my sig if your curious.
and im liking the outdoors here this year, its been less humid this year so overwatering is never much of a problem.

lol growing in a knot that sounds epic

So here's another update, they have not grown that much since I did the lst but I tied them down again and hopefully they will like it better now.

#3 after more training. She was underwatered for a while and has a bit of nitrogen deficiency.

#1 after more training. It's SO BUSHY. Hopefully I will get some more light penetration now.

My mangos... it took forever for them to start growing, they must've really hated life in the old pots.

The closest one is trying to reach the light by all means necessary lol, seems fine to me?

The other one has some white spots on the left leaf in the picture, fungae or bugs or something like that to worry about?

I overwatered the one in the plastic bag... again =(. It seems to have a poorly developed rootsystem and can't take nearly as much water as #3. She's not very happy with me right now, I'm gonna have to do the dishes for weeks...

I'm leaving to visit my family for eastern today, I will come back on sunday and update again!

white spots are usually spidermites, look on the bottom of your leaves. and if your training look at your nodes, the branches will be coming out since all the energy is divided among the branches, if you let the top grow out higher than the other branches it'll get more top growth though if thats what you want.

some better pics... the 3 babylonia fruit

growing a bagseed right now that came from a bag of mango, turned purple though, smells more like blueberry. but beside the point, they look healthy! this is what my girl looked like a few weeks ago, love those fat indica leaves
