HPS or Metal Halide or Flor? I have em all...

Hey guys. Im really new to growing, As I just started out i picked up a 4 foot strip light and a fixture that will take a 100 watt MH or 100 wattt HPS, I have both bulbs.

I would like to know which to use while im trying to grow the plants to the point where they can be flowered, I was under the impression HPS was the way to go but after reading a few threads here im not so sure.

Can anyone clear up which bulb i should be using? Im guessing i should just throw the T12 strip lights away at the point?

hps for sure. Im not to sure about a 100 watt hps but.

I realize 100 watts is very small and will only be good for a very small operation but my intent is to get a few grows completed before i invest in a 600 watt fixture.

This 100 watt fixture and bulb was very cheap as i work at a place where i can get it at their cost.

Hmm well buy 4? do they have a little ballast too?
