HPS vs LED - The 70W Challenge

Check out this YOUTUBE Video! I've seen some questions out there about LED vs. HPS and this video shows the clear proof that at least in this case HPS has a clear advantage.

I believe his HPS is 400W and the LEDs are 70W. I believe that this is "supposed" to be even according to the folks who say LED is the way to go.

Would like to hear what experience anyone else has had in LED vs. HPS.

Shit i can not belive the title of this thread?h.p.s v l.e.d there is no competion h.p.s lighting will far out grow any other kind of lighting system untill something new is brought forward.H.p.s lights are so versatile used for veg or bloom either the lights are perfect.I have tried near all the differant lights out there and there is no competion.

Forgive me as I'm a newbie and have seen many questions on this topic. I also recently bought a few led panels, waste.

The video you are showing is dated 17 July 2007, 2.5 year is a long time for semiconductor products. Watch these 2 videos and you may change your mind. FYI: grow panel using less than 1w LED is a waste of time.

The 14w panels on ebay is definitely shit, only good for side lights I think.

Leds are not a waste. Just not the bomb advertising makes them out to be. If your panels are dual spectrum I would by all means be using them for veg. But as far as flowering goes, HPS is hard to beat. But I have seen some nice results LED start to finish. Its all in how you grow and grow what you know.

in that first video why did the single led set up out perform the duel set up? they both were the same nanometers. if they werent using clones i dont think this was an accurate experiment it doesnt make sence to me
