I’ve never seen bud labeled or sold based off what type of light it was grown under. I’ve also never gotten different price points when buying weed that weren’t just obviously lower of higher quality, but again not labeled by the type of light or grow techniques used.
A good grower
with good genetics can produce great buds under almost any type of light imho. I’ve seen great grows done with old t8 shop lights, with newer t5s, even with cfls, heck I’ve seen people produce awesome buds with old blurple LEDs. Obviously HPS, MH, CMH, and modern higher power LED all produce more light and will outperform any of those. More light(to a point) will produce higher yields, and less light can produce lower yields. Light spectrum certainly can effect things but it’s been proven less important then sheer photon volume. How those photons are produced is irrelevant.
@snakedope I’ve always been a HPS grower, I’ve never owned an LED myself but have been in plenty of friends grows and smoked the buds and watched 100s of them on this site. Fact is if you or your friends can’t grow good buds under LEDs then you just aren’t doing it right. My guess is you don’t have the environment controlled properly for that style of growing since that’s usually the issue. Every grow style and light has different requirements.
