That's funny about the lighters I keep mine in the little plastic bag still in the file cabinet with the paperwork. I have two now plus the shirt I plan to save. I thought that was cool straight getting a 12/12 timer and a lighter, pssst it's for setting the timer in the dark right? ssshhhhh
 
I keep reading other peoples posts about how there customers service is so great and they have the best prices but maybe that was in the past...cuz I dont think I would use them again for lacking in both those areas.

Ordered my whole setup from them...hps bulb wouldn't strike everytime after only 2 weeks. Gave them a call (since I heard about great customer care, and since it's still under warranty) and they told me I would have to ship back the bulb before they would send a replacement....hello I cant go without a bulb for a week or 2.

Called back a week later (after having to start up my system everyday myself since I cant rely on timer with my bulb not striking everytime) thinking maybe someone else there would help me...got same guy again...who finally and reluctantly agreed to send me a replacement for free...but no return label so I have to pay to ship their defective bulb back when I get the new one. Well that is better than nothing but still crappy since I actually will ship their defective bulb back since I'm honest.

Also wanted to place another order with them...new hood, inline fan, flex duct...etc. I was told when I placed my original order that if I place another substancial order they would give me a discount/hook me up... so I called em up (I was just hoping that I could atleast get the hood for the price I would have paid if I added it on to my original order and then pay full price for everthing else on the order) so anyways I told em what I needed and all they were willing to do was discount their shipping a little, which they already charge about 3 times more then it actually cost to ship the package in the first place. So i went down to my local hydro store and got a better quality hood for the same price as I would have paid at htg if you include their outrageous shipping...plus I didn't have to wait to get it.

All in all it's htg's loss.... If they would have just helped me out quick and easy with replacing their defective bulb and just given me a 20% discount on my well over $200 order then they would have gotten about another $500 of business from me this month alone that instead went to my local hydro store.

I continued doing business with them because they stood by their products. I haven't experienced those same problems I did then and I can get right through to them now.
