I crossed it with appalachia and it turned out pretty sweet. Still blueberry but increased yield(probably 30% more) and increased potency by about 15% i’d say.Not purple at all though. These aren’t scientific numbers btw lol.
Sounds stellar I would love to run. I love blueberry strains

HSC is amazing beginner weed, but its a bit on the ornamental side. Easy to grow, amazing smell, but only an okay high. I hope someone out there breeds with their work and can bring potency to the terps and looks.
Terps are what the people want & HSC brings the terps. I've had stuff from them that didn't have the full package of looks/terps/potency. And then came Jelly Donutz. There are Jelly Donutz phenos I refer to as 'stankydank' phenos. My research indicates that the funky loud stupifying jelly donutz take after the unnamed 'emerald cup winning' runtz cut they crossed Hella Jelly to. I F2'd JD selecting for loud potent stankydank pheno. Just my personal preference for indica's, I haven't been disappointed in the potency of any jelly donut. I also crossed Vanilla Frosting to Runtz/E-85/Grandi Candy and it is plenty potent. Just crossed that to jelly donutz to up the fruityness. Currently crossing Tony Green/BOG's 91Chem/ Sour Bubble to ( BB Cupcake x Gelonade ) in hopes of finding potent indica leaners w market friendly terps.

Their phenohunter freebies might have what ur looking for. I've been collecting as many as I can. I got HSC strains crossed to jungle cake, dosidos, ICC, white runtz, Mac 1, Gelonade, strawnana, orange creamsicle. Wish I had grabbed the red velvet and London poundcake crosses when I had the chance.

I'm not really interested in any of those, but they are neat!

I grow for me, not the people. Commercial viability is nothing I'm concerned with. I'll take a potent Nl5/haze over any modern hype cross, but its all about preference.

Pineapple fields is my go to terpy, high potency strain. In the process of hunting a couple keepers out of those for future breeding projects. I do want to try crossing it with Cherry Lime Runtz from Mean gene to at least say I gave modern hype strains their due diligence.

They are having herm issues and went in under cover and changed their web site description that the Triploid Donutz is an OUTDOOR plant.
I saw that too....a lot of herms are popping up with their triploids growing indoor. My eyes are peeled with my OG Triploid. So far mine is ok (knock on wood).

So is it just nanners or are they full on hermaprodite? It shouldn’t be viable pollen either way right? If they’re throwing sterile nanners ,it doesn’t seem like thats a huge problem really??

Seems pretty shitty to me.

I find it wild how accepting people are of intersex traits. I get it for something like Chem, which is a historically significant cultivar, but for modern day designer weed? That's just lazy. I would hardly call it breeding even.

What you're saying certainly makes sense.
One counter is that, it would appear HSC didn't do the kind of quality control you'd expect from a company that large with serious resources. They were caught as off guard as the buyers. They are charging a PREMIUM for seeds that are basically untested in all environments. And then, when they find they have an issue, they go and just ghost change their description. A hermy has NEVER been something people wanted. Doesn't matter if the pollen is a dud, it shows a weakness in the genetics and that could possible effect bud formation.. supposedly.

Triploids supposedly won't pollinate a normal plant, but can pollinate themselves, at least I think that's how it works.

Either way, sure sounds untested to me.

And adding the "RECOMMENDED FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY" sure sounds like a dig/scapegoat to blame indoor growers for their lack of experience or whatever. Why would it even matter indoor vs outdoor? That doesn't make any sense at all. They 100% tried to pull a fast one, and blame the growers. Low, scummy behavior.

Then again, HSC is just another Spanish seed maker at this point, so we shouldn't be that surprised.

Bought about 5 packs when they released the triploids, but grabbed the blueberry line that they restocked plus a couple others. Heard they have been having bad germinating rates. Ended up ordering from them thinking they were a reputable company these days, but this whole switch and bait thing has turned me off them completely. Hopefully mine germinate and I don't have an issue and have to contact CS

Im not defending or blaming anyone im just asking is it full on hermaphrodites or is it just nanners? To me there is a difference. If its just nanners then maybe it’s being blown out of proportion because in my experience any fkn thing can throw some , has nothing to do with genetics sometimes i think. Full blown hermaphrodite is a different story though. The only thing dude said in the video was his plants had some nanners on the bottom. I don’t rush to blame a breeder over that. The changing of the description to outdoor only is definitely shady looking though
