Im not defending or blaming anyone im just asking is it full on hermaphrodites or is it just nanners? To me there is a difference. If its just nanners then maybe it’s being blown out of proportion because in my experience any fkn thing can throw some , has nothing to do with genetics sometimes i think. Full blown hermaphrodite is a different story though. The only thing dude said in the video was his plants had some nanners on the bottom. I don’t rush to blame a breeder over that. The changing of the description to outdoor only is definitely shady looking though
I agree, known genetics that throw some sterile nanners isn't a big deal. I think it's just funny/ironic for them to go on and on about the advantages of triploids only to have the internet call them out on a hermie problem that smacks of untested seeds.

Like listen to all this science... and then they forgot to test lol

Where there's smoke, there's fire. I've never had a plant throw visible nanners and I've abused the fuck out of them.

I've noticed post harvest premature seed, but that's a combination of stress and late chopping, which I prefer. Most folk cut early, and if enough are complaining that it caused them to change their description, they fucked up.

Having run this breeders' strains for a year now, here is my honest review; with over a decade using several dozen suppliers.
1. If you have northern lights freebies, don't waste your time; these beans have to be a decade old.
My germination rate has been 95% on every breeder, but these wither and die almost immediately; if you can even germinate them.
2. These weren't the only germination issues, this "family business" according to their own emails; wound up giving me a partial refund.
Upon sending them pics, was advised this was due to damping off issues; issues I never have.
3. Just harvested an all gas, and found several fully developed seeds on lower buds while trimming; and it isn't the first time.
The seeds are self-pollinated, thankfully didn't blast my room with pollen; and there are only a few.
4. This one is my greatest compliant, low yield on some strains; particularly garlic budder.
And don't go by their flowering times, am about to chop an apple blossom that should have finished well before the all-gas.
I won't be using them in the future, going back to my previous one who is actually giving away FREE!(link below)seeds this weekend.
I've used this other breeder for several years, side by side to HSC; so would recommend them for fem beans.
For reg beans, nobody has out-performed Bodhi; on freebies...Great Lakes Genetics has some badass breeders.!!
GLG also sells 20Twenty Mendo gear last I checked, so imo; would be wise to go through them for those great freebies.
Peace all, have a great mother's day weekend!

20twenty sells Cadillacs, HSC sells Toyotas. It's not even a comparison.

Although, I've heard pretty nasty, consistent, reports of herming with the piescream

In all fairness, I did have an issue with one 20twenty herm :D strain last year; and it was the reason I tried HSC here.
However, over time; 20twenty has out-performed HSC in all departments.
I'm guessing that intersex tendencies are the very reason Bodhi won't touch breeding fem's.

They are having herm issues and went in under cover and changed their web site description that the Triploid Donutz is an OUTDOOR plant.
Damn that's crazy. I didn't know what to make of triploid seeds but I wasn't after 'donut' terps at the time anyway or having major problems w herms in HSC packs. I am curious about those granny candies though.

I grow for me, not the people. Commercial viability is nothing I'm concerned with. I'll take a potent Nl5/haze over any modern hype cross, but its all about preference.

Pineapple fields is my go to terpy, high potency strain. In the process of hunting a couple keepers out of those for future breeding projects. I do want to try crossing it with Cherry Lime Runtz from Mean gene to at least say I gave modern hype strains their due diligence.
Where would u recommend a fella look for nl5 seeds? Under $100 a pack?

Take anything on the market that is NL5 seeds with a big grain of salt. NL5 started as a seed line nearly 40 years ago. From what I've seen, the best seeds with any old NL5 actually in them are made with older NL5 cuts that are still in existence. Strayfox, Bodhi have released things fitting that bill. I've seen some nice things out there from CSI's Northern Lites fems too. Crickets and Cicadas work with NL1 and PNW hashplant are likely to net you a nicer plant you'd be happier with than AG. Ofc, C&C isn't exactly cheap either. Not to knock AG, but their NL5 offerings are probably a bit of a hunt.

Oh boy, I'm sitting here trimming an apple blossom; that self-pollinated big time.
Here is a copy of the message I just sent to:
I'll wager they don't even respond, good thing I'm very adept at making green dragon into gummies; cuz' that exactly where thier bull$hit
product is heading...HSC has really hurt me and my patients...hope they go out of business.

"I do not have the order number handy, but I am LIVID with your "family owned" business. The partial refund and free replacements you gave me pale in comparison to the hundreds of dollars I have lost using your POORLY engineered genetics. I am sitting here trimming an apple blossom that has self-pollinated, and it isn't the first time this has occurred with your unstable beans.
If it were possible, I would be sending you a summons; in lieu of this message.
You have no business selling these products, and I'm about to drop kick you on every grow site known to man.
This is ridiculous, learn how to breed; never have I had these non-germination issues and consistent problems."

I'm hoping for some advice please, to any and all willing to chime in here; thanks in advance.
They wish to know if there is anything they can do at this juncture.
I don't want their seeds, so what else could they possibly have I would want?
Refunding the rest of my order doesn't even come close to the value of 4 months growing, so at a loss here
on how to respond to this company....or if I should even bother.
:peace:

They aren't testing anything, as even the flowering times on their own packaging are inaccurate.
My goal by posting has now become focused on preventing this trainwreck(lol!)of a breeder from screwing over anyone else.
I'll bet they are already figuring out how to re-brand their tarnished reputation.
Glad I didn't spend too much, unfortunately it appears others have.

I have never seen an accurate breeder estimate. Not even from my favorite breeders.

HSC is far from the worst out there. I think the lesson here is don't invest heavily in a breeder until you have popped a pack or two. If you want to vent, we are here for you, but I don't think it's worth your time trying to bring them down. Most people do zero research before buying seed.

It isn't the buyer's responsibility to research, which I do(that's how I found 20twenty); must have missed the pilot link 2 years ago on HSC.
I normally dismiss poor breeding work, and simply move on; but this one has been skipping testing their own work...or releasing them anyways.
Then they simply use marketing gimmicks, and clean up their mess later; or not.
They don't belong in the industry at all, but yeah; I'll move on.
Have a great day!:peace:

Most of them are like that. Some use crazy backstories, others pose as shamans and gurus, etc etc. Less testing than you think goes on in many cases, and many still misrepresent every aspect of their business to cover up they dont make a single damn seed in this country.

So my opinion is that seeds are generally way overpriced. I’ve had free seeds or $40 packs that outperformed $200 packs by a mile.
