Nice grow. All organic and under the sun. Beautiful. So you use any supplemental lighting? Got more pics? I want to see how you prune that thing, from trunk to cola! Whats your yield?

i have a question about all the straw/hay you use under the plants. do you do this because hay releases fulvic acid when wet? i suppose you also put the hay in your compost tea because of this? thanks

This not my thread but the straw you see is to retain water and keep the 300 and 200 gallon pots cool. dirrtyd

in his other thread at the other site he says he uses the straw for moisture retention as well as water difusion when he waters.

Modern investigations have found that the humic acid is released from straw when the straw is mixed with mud and that this strengthens the material, which produces stronger bricks that are less likely to break or lose their shape.

Humic acid is a principal component of humic substances which are the major organic constituents of soil, (humus), peat, coal, many upland streams, dystrophic lakes and ocean water.[1] It is produced by biodegradation of dead organic matter. It is not a single acid, rather, it is a complex mixture of many different acids containing carboxyl and phenolate groups so that the mixture behaves functionally as a dibasic acid or, occasionally, as a tribasic acid. Humic acids can form complexes with ions that are commonly found in the environment. Humic/Fulvic acids are commonly used as a soil supplement in agriculture, and less commonly as a human nutritional supplement
