Humidifier/de-humidifier ?

I just use a cheap humidifier from walmart with my WILLHI humidity controller from amazon that seems to do a good job. Theres a bunch of instructions online on how to set one up to auto refill itself, all the ones I've seen used electrical sensors... I wanna see if I can set one up with a toilet fill setup...
If you dont mind refilling it possibly often those cheap 2 liter humidifiers might be fine but you probably need more of them.

Thats basically what I mean, the one I looked at on instructables takes a float valve and an electric selenoid valve... Im not sure why you would need both my toilet doesn't use any more electricity than the pump pushing the water.

Only reason I can see to use a solenoid valve is to time delivery of water. For example I use one to feed the float on the reservoir for my flood and drain, that way it won't try to top off when the system is flooding the tray. For a humidifier I can't see why one would need a solenoid valve.

Great Advice....thank you Renfro. I’m planning to use an Inkbird controller for a humidifier and dehumidifier in a 5x5 Grow tent. The tent is located in a bedroom. In that case, can I still run the dehumidifier outside of the tent? Any other tips on using the Inkbird?

If the tent is getting it's intake air from the room the dehumidifier is in then it should work fine so long as the ventilation system is adequate and running.
