Humidifier for inkbird humidifier controller

Also, the model was large enough of a rez I could have technically installed a float valve easily and used an off-board rez to keep it topped off, etc.
 
Too late I see, Was gonna drop 2 recommends. Good for up to a 5x5 with Inkbird. Its mechanical. No light on it. Fill with water from the dehumidifier. Wish it was top fill.

For rooms, build your own with a ultra sonic puck, tote with lid, and a computer fan. When I build my room I plan on pumping the water from my dehumidifer to my humidifier reservoir. Pretty cheap to make. Loads of youtube video how to do it. Here is a kit on Amazon.

I saw this a I really liked it, I think I actually have that bookmarked..lol if I had the room I would be trying that out

I went to Menards and other places to get a link for you, but it looks like they've gone and fucked around with the model and gave it newer 'controls'. I specifically picked it because it was a simple analog off/low/med/high switch with analog humidity control. I just sat it to max and let controller do its job. Now I see a digital display.... that's a bad omen. Hopefully just for humidity.

If I knew they were going to change the model, I would have probably bought a couple spares. Otherwise you have to step into the commercial stuff.

Old thread, but I can confirm. They new models will turn on, but reset to the lowest settings - low fan / 25%. Basically useless.
 
Wow, that fucking sucks. They basically made their products entirely useless to an entire demographic of their market.

I'm thinking the DIY path of something like a 10g trash can with a fan blowing across a wick or something similar will be the next best option. Put you an InkBird controller on the fan and there you go. And the sensor can even be 'remote' in that scenario - which is better than before for many of us.
