Humidity 31%

Well I do like the fountain idea - very classy.
Guess that I will end up w/a humidifier altho I'm getting a little weary of spending money on my little room. (I know, I know)
And my open pan of water is doing jack-schitt to raise the humidity, so it looks as if I am off to K-Mart.

thanks

I want to be a smurf... ;)

Most of the time, other than my grow box for the babies, my room is at about 30-35% and cranks out the plants.

What's wrong with 31%? It sounds just groovy to me. :blsmoke:
Well I have a bunch of brownish, dry looking leaves. I also have a guide that says 50-60% is ideal. Being at 31 and having some ugly leaves makes me think too dry but I am open to learning. Overall teh health seems good, but some ugly leaves make me a tad nervous.

Jorge says a few drops of dish liquid will make water wetter maybe that would take up some of the slack and maybe a little extra water

That thing about putting the water in front of the fan works you should try it

or get a vaporrizer at wall mart $20 I think and just don't put any of that medician in the vapor tray I didn't say it right but I hope you know what I ment

Mine is about 30% also and my plants are growing like crazy. If properly ventilated with dry(er) air, I am not sure there is much which can be done to up your humidity. You have what you have.

I put a himidifier in front of my air intake. It helped a little, but in the end of the day it did help enough to make it worth it.

Ok, thanks for the replies.
I'll just sit tight for a bit and avoid the temptation to try and get too smart.
If 31% works for you folks, it will for me also.

Damn but that Smurf looks like a happy little guy!

Thanks kindly.

Yeah, I'd say that your leaf problem is probably not caused by marginally low humidity. And when you are flowering, that 31% will be just perfect to ward off any nasty fungus growth amongst your sticky icky.

And guys, that 'groovy' comment was a reference to his handle recalling a favorite Joe Walsh album from 1972.

i personally don't feel low humidity is a problem,i'm just a few weeks from completing my 3rd succesful grow and my humidity never makes it above 20% while the light's on and is usually more like between 11% and 15%,i've also found it to be benificial to trichrome formation too,and as for the temps in my area, you really don't want to know

Man, you already know the answer, get some water. Get a Mister bottle, put some water in front of a fan, and get a $9.00 humidifier at Walmart. lay wet rags or towels near by too.
31% is NOT all that low for SOMETIMES, but it is low for ALL OF THE TIME.
