Humidity control

The house I have my 5x9 grow tent in has a water boiler for heat, with that said I am having low humidity in my flower tent due to the cold weather. The humidity in my tent the last few weeks has been in the 20’s

thoughts on low humidity and Best and cheapest way to get humidity up?

thanks in advance.

You can't afford a humidifier? You've surely dumped hundreds into your 5x9, another hundred (or less) on a humidifier seems like a drop in the bucket to me.

I just have an inkbird humidistat, a small humidifier (probably like 30 bucks, tops) and a big dehu for my 4x4 flowering space. But my issue with that space is almost always too much humidity so I can get away with a tiny humidifier that's rarely used. In your case you may need a bigger humidifier, especially if you don't want to be refilling it multiple times every day.

Yeah I have research them the one I need starts $300 waiting trying to wait until I get this harvest in.

$300?!? You'd be surprised how much humidity a $30 bedroom humidifier from amazon can add. You can even get a smart one for $50 that will have remote control and a humistat. I've got a $20 ultrasonic humidifier for my 10x10 room and on the rare occasion I need to add humidity its more than adequate.

Yeah, $300 seems like a lot. My bigger one was like $70 and it will last ~30 hours on high blast and raise the humidity in my whole grow room by like 30%. I don't think you need anything nearly that big.

I don’t have a forced air system in the house it’s a water boiler. I want a large unit so I don’t have to keep filling up every few hours
My shitty little one gets filled up every 24 hours when its turned up to max. Look up ultrasonic humidifier, they're more efficient than warm mist humidifiers. I can't find the exact one I have but I don't think I paid over $30 a year ago. Just buy one and try it, if it doesn't work you're only out $40 or you can return it.

My vicks 1 gallon vaporizer lasts 3 days at 50% humidity in a 5x5. A day and half maybe 2 at 60-65%. If you plan on running an exhaust fan 24/7 then you'll definitely need to invest in those commercial grade humidifiers. I wouldn't get an ultrasonic unless you use distilled or RO.

Sounds like the same problem I have. It's below 0°f here. With my forced heat, my humidity is 10-20%. I have to refill my 4l taotronics humidifier twice a day. It becomes a real pita!
