Humidity dome

Do you allow the plants to grow in a humidity dome until they dont fit or what? Ive seen until they sprout, but that doesnt really make since. Also do you have to have just soil plugs like rockwool or jiffy or can you have cups and soil if they fit?

I do it for 1-2 days after sprout. But then I take it off.
And the reason people do it until sprout is because it keeps the top soil moist so you don't have to mist it every hour.

I keep the dome on till they have nice white roots starting to come out than I transplant into 3" pots and water. If you let it go to long the roots grow into the plant next to it and you wind up breaking roots off, not so good. The dome also help keep humity levels high as you want the plant to grow roots not leaves.
