Humidity domes for the little plants right after they hatch--whats the deal??

We all know to put a humidity dome surrounding your plant right when it first comes out of the soil...This technique is used to grow the plant faster in order to survive..bla BLA BLA

wHATS THE REAL WAY FOR THIS--?? DO WE WATER FIRST THEN PLACE THE DOME????SPRAY THE DOME?? POKE HOLES AT THE TOP OF THE DOME??? WHATS THE DEAL PLEASE I CANT SEEM TO KEEP THOSE LITTLE ONES ALIVE--YES I KEEP THE SOIL DAMP....WHAT SHOULD i DO THE SEEDS OF THE SKUNK I GOT FROM AMSTERDAM WILL HATCH SOON

Once the seed has cracked and i have planted it in some moist soil i put them under the dome with all the vents closed, mist the lid and turn the heat mat on. As soon as they pop through to the surface they come straight out of the dome and under a 250w HPS. Check them every few hours for the first couple of days and water with a light mist when they need it. 9 out of 10 seed success
