Humidity issues

Ok so I setup a climate controlled grow room in a small 8'x9' shed. 2 4x4 tents with 4 plants each but iv only got a light in 1 tent for now. Humidity won't go over 35% in the tent area but in the 4'x8' area where there are no tents (where I stand when I'm in the building) I have a huge console humidifier and it can easily keep the humidity at up to 80% humidity.

Problem is, no matter how I set my ventilation, I cant seem to get the humidity to move into the tent... Even if I leave the doors open on the tent. It's like my 600w MH light just dries out the air in there. Must of the time I can't get over 30% humidity.. Any ideas?

Thinking about saying 'screw the humidifier' and using an auto misting solution that puts out a little mist every hour or something.

ok so what u need to do is get negitive pressure in them tents u gotta pull air from the inside of the tent prefrably the top then open the vents on the bottom an pull the air from bottom to top right thru them canopys if its warm where u live id suggest exsusting that air out of ur building ....another thing u can do (i just had to) is use pond foggers in a 5gallon bucket i have mine hooked up to a humidity controller an it works great for the 40bucks i spent...my humidity in my 4k was dropping to 18% dont use a mist system itll leave calcum an other shit in the water on ur plants an buds

Put the humidifier inside the tent all that other stuff that mikdab said is stuff that should be done regardless of humidity also as long as your plants are waterd properly ive read a few places that humidity should not be that big a deal until flowering were you want your humidity40% or below the last couple weeks of flowering to avoid mold or bud rott keeping your humidity that low will give you dense buds with more tri and higher Thc.

Use RO in the humidifier.it will also help keep the humidifier function properly.

Thanks! Well I have my setup about exactly as you describe. Pulling the air from a carbon filter at the top of the tent from the vent at the bottom. From there i used dryer vents to blow it out of the building. I bought a console humidifier and where it's placed, it works great but i just cant get it to go into the tent. I was able to slightly raise the humidity by leaving a side door to the tent open and im blowing a fan into the opening but I've also been using a spray bottle (R O water is the only thing used) to help a little more. I'm using a Smartthings home automation controller to control AC, Heat, and the humidifier so as it needs things, they just turn on automatically. Someone else suggested to put the humidifier inside the tent, but it's quite large and i doubt it would fit...

How ever, i do think i could fit a 5 gallon bucket with a pond fogger inside. I did some research into them after you mentioned it.. Seems interesting but im still trying to wrap my head around how it works and what parts id need. Assuming i'd need a fan blowing up through the cannopy? I now have a table with 4 holes cut perfectly for 5 gallon buckets to sit down in so i wonder if that is keeping humidity from entering..

Can you elaborate a little more on how the foggers work? Do you have to maintain a few inches of water in the bucket all the time? Maybe with a float system? Thanks!

Yea they just work on a float u can buy on Amazon I rigged up sumthin but plan on buying the actual float..I also got a humidity controller an that is what turns the foggers on an off...srry for the late reply I been busy
