my spring field temp/humidity thermometer , currently reads 20% humidity , and its randomly spikes to 28% then goes back down in a matter of a second

I have a cup of water next to plant any other suggestions to get it up ?

Also what is the ideal humidity , and is 20% really fucking up my plant? +rep for feedback

Are you in flower or veg? 20% is great for flower, but not ideal for veg. I never concern myself with the humidity in veg though, they seem to grow fine whether its 20% or 70%. But in flower you want it low to prevent mold.

At 17 days it won't be huge. Do you have any pics? What are you using for lights/nutrients/medium?

I really doubt your humidity is a problem...

Child please. If you aren't going to help don't post in the thread. But I suppose you're trying to get that post count high so people take you seriously...

Krazy, here's a link to a digitized copy of Marijuana Botany by Robert Connell Clark. I highly recommend reading this and using it as a reference throughout your growing experience. It will answer most of your questions...

"Humidity is an interesting parameter of THC production and one of the least understood. Most high-quality drug Cannabis grows in areas that are dry much of the time at least during the maturation period. It follows that increased resin production in response to arid conditions might account for increased THC production. High-THC strains, however, also grow in very humid conditions (greenhouses and equatorial zones) and produce copious quantities of resin. Cannabis seems not to produce more resins in response to dry soil, as it does to a dry atmosphere. Drying out plants by with-holding water for the last weeks of flowering does not stimulate THC production, although an arid atmosphere may do so."
