Husband & Wife's 3rd Grow. Big Bud & Northern Lights

Trust me I feel ya 100% especially in an older house with less insulation as these new ones have. Come November I'll be good..... till feburary :( not long but should be able to squeeze two harvest's in there.

:leaf::peace::leaf:

do you have an attic or crawl space above your garage (or the room your grow tent is in)? If so, how well ventilated is it? You may be able to stretch an exhaust all the way to a vent (or at least the crawl space/attic opening) and put an inline fan in your exhaust ;)

Ahhhh! One of my NL's popped... You can just make out her lil cap! YEA!!! The BB's are getting big and the stalks are getting thick! I'll post some pics tomorrow when they show a lil more difference than the last set.

sweet and congrats. Looks like some of Rollit's best have chimmed in for the ride. Some with lots of experience. Everone has something good to add. They will ship shape your grow in no time.

I think you should name your plants when they get about 6 weeks along. Just before they show m/f. lol....they will start to show some different characteristis to enjoy as they mature. Your not using fem. seeds are you?

Thanks Relaxed! I appreciate you. Yup all Fem, except for the one bag seed I have planted. So we'll keep a close eye on that one when the time comes.

And my tomatoes..LoL I am hoping to plant those tonight or tomorrow. LoL

But I will most def get more pics up tonight or tomorrow night!:weed:

Subscribed. I'm excited to see your NL grow, was considering this strain myself. You definately need to bring the heat down, stress (including heat stress, somebody jump in and correct me if I'm wrong?) can turn your ladies into hermies. Here's a thread that might help:

My hubby is going to build one of these for me to try out. Maybe it could help bring your heat down.
Good luck on your grow(s), I'll be checking them out!:peace:

Hmmm don't fall into that. Its obvious heat isn't THAT big of a problem through Mammaths journals. He was flowering in about 105 tent weather with his ambient outside reaching 120. Now I'm not saying this is a good thing or this is what you want. MJ is a very RESILLANT plant and can preform under a number of conditions that you think it wouldn't. Just take everything in stride don't stress so much over things just let 'em happen. I find that peeking in the tent twice a day works the best for me (ie. to notice growth better and it keeps me from staring for hours hahaha) Anyways

Thank you Doe! Much appreciated! and please pull up a seat. I have some great fiolks helping me thru this grow! I am going to look into the hermie thing. and I have just explained this cooler thing to hubby. I still want to remap the intake/ exhaust altho... hubby doesn't seem to think that there is anyway to do this.

Great to see another woman on the boards!

There's always a way...lol You could try what I do, get some paper and pencil, draw a small blueprint of your area, and start drawing stuff in where you want it to be, don't be afraid to use imagination - even if it looks crazy for a minute, keep trying and you will eventually come up with somthing feasible.:leaf:

Sounds like your in one of those HOT states. You have the tent in a garage right? These people are on to something about the heat and lesser degree the humidity specially in veg.... I am not saying it will kill em but sure can strangle the growth potential in some way. I'd say since you going along just keep giving it a shot and see if your happy with the results. Oh, if I remember you mentioned 9 months a year that area will be above 90% right? If it were more like 3 or 4 months in the 90s some just don't grow during that time. Others buy an a/c for the room/garage.

darn, I was hoping they were not all fem. seeds. Then you might have a male to selectively branch pollinate so you could have some big bud/northern lights cross seeds. oh well, if your going to continue a next grow without a break you should clone some of the better preforming plants. keep an eye on the better plants to clone as they grow. That said there are really good clone tutorials here. Should do that in about a month and let the plants have a couple weeks to recuperate after before flower starts. Another time discussion. pics of plants and growroom update....

Oh, all this talk about tomatoes in the grow room. reminder....so you don't bring in bugs....never bring plants from the outside to the growroom. If they start inside keep em in. If you start them in the grow room and take em outside they can't come back into the growroom with weed in there. Sure way to infest em all...

I sure wish I could help y'all in person..... way too far away though.......

Thanks Dragon! Much appreciated! No its in a basement garage. I was trying to think of ways to vent it but so far no success. I wanted to maybe run the vent below the insulation in the ceiling into a room nearby (drop ceiling on other side) But hubby said its too far. We really should have thought about this when we built the tent. :dunce:

It is a hot state. Thats for sure. humidity can be a problem sometimes.. well alot. You can see the leaves have a bit of a curl if thats the proper word for it... I am guessing from the heat. We did leave the tent open for a while and it dropped 5 degrees. We also just ordered a dehumidifier for flowering time.

I'll have to roll with the punches and see how it goes.

We do want to clone. Hubby wanted all fem so we dont have to keep ordering seeds. But the BB and NL mix would have been interesting! I might have to try that in the future tho! LoL

Oh and on the other note... LoL I was grow one tomato plant indoors and leave it there for kicks and giggles. :-P

Not sure how big the area is but I saw decent portable a/c at Wal-mart and Lowes at good prices. Specially end of the summer sales....

Some one suggested earlier drawing up a quick sketch of the layout..... if you do and you post it, I will give you what advice I may have..... hope it works out for you...... but the question really is..... do you own or rent?

Ahh that sounds great! I will have it up this weekend! Thanks!!;-)

Ok... the NL's have started as well as the one bag seed. One NL is a bit behind... But I have faith in her. Had hubby put them closer to the light. 2 of them looked as tho they were begining to stretch.

Now as for the BB's. Ahhh what do I say? They have filled out lovely and the stalks are getting so thick. Another problem I am now finding is the yellowing around the edges of the leaves. I am hoping you all can see it in the pics. and with some of the ready I am doing it seems to possibly be a nute deficiency. Hubby did water them last night and added the Sensi Grow A & B. But they were like this prior to the watering and nutes.

Maybe a potassium issue?

Wow, your plants look great! Short, bushy - if they are having a problem it isn't showing very well in the pics. Maybe try a few without your HPS light?
