when i grew from seed in my cupboard the temps were in the low 90;s and i got fems. you know im not an expert but by any means but if my temps didnt affect the sex then yours shouldnt either.
my humidity mite have been high aswell but not sure coz i didnt have a hygro meter at that time so couldnt really say bro.
its probably down to the seeds you got. ive had nirvana seeds and they were fine but that was feminised ones.
im gutted for you coz i know how it feels man.
hi bro, the temps i have now are the same as when i got my last fem plant 75-85 deg F. i dont think its the temps but there is alot of questionable factors that might come into play ( i cant find the thread i was reading before on the subject ). i am personally thinking its just the luck of the seed out of the packet bro. i have been thinking lastnight about what i have done thats different this time round, and i even checked back through my notes that i keep for each grow and there is no difference at all ( temps, humidity, etc,etc... are the same ). i have used this company ( everyonedoesit.com ) before to get my seeds and the first seeds i planted were females. im not blaming the company, and i dont think its anything im doing, its just the luck of the draw when it comes to getting fem seeds out of a packet of regular seeds.
hey hustla maybe nothing you are doing but some bad luck. or maybe genetics come into question. where are you getting your seeds? i know a lot of people like nirvana on here but i have heard they have questionable genetics. not saying that you have bad genetics but maybe where you get your seeds may just be shipping out whatever and saying who cares.
hi masta, yea i have heard that nirvana seeds dont have good genetics, i got some bigbud x nl from them last year through a uk company called everyonedoesit.com. i was talking to smokerE on here because he got the same ones but from a different company. both lots when flowering were the light and fluffy type buds, but other growers had the big dense type buds which goes to show their genetics are all over the place. thats why this time i went for the widow and rhino, i thought that the seeds from these would be more stable, mainly because its a more known strain. as i said to menace its just the luck of the draw, lol bad luck. the seeds i have left will not beat me though, on my next grow im going to start say 5 seeds of each strain that i have and see what the ratio's are, thats roughly going to be 20 plants to start with. they cant all be males lol.
I am no expert but I have read that sex is predeterminded...
hi bong, yea i read that on a thread in here somewhere, i think it was skunkushybrid that wrote it. there was a lot of differing thoughts to the seeds sex and what could change it. i will have a look to see if i can find it because it makes you wonder if its predetermned or not. i now personally think it is predetermined like humans and animals, etc... especailly after going back over my notes and everything being the same as in temps, humidity, growing space and the lights used.
thanks for stopping in guy's and your thoughts on this. its appreciated that you take the time to try and help.
hustla
