I've done whole grows without changing the res out. As long as everything looks healthy it wasn't an issue for me...
At that time I was doing Lucas formula, it worked well but I always felt that the plants weren't growing to their full potential and were too light green.
As far as changing out the res, you could build a support for the plants that is separate from the res, and the res will slide in and out as necessary. Once those plants get big they're not going anywhere...

Lucas formula? I only did a 80L bucket cause I initially thought bigger means better, I know I was right and wrong. Bigger buckets are too much work carrying all that water about.
After taking a buddy of mine to go look at the plant he strongly advised me to flip earlier than planned, for the only reason my bud storage jar is low so why wait another 4 week to flower when I can do it now and still yeild a half decent amount finishing 4 week earlier than planned! Guess I'll be having a bumper 25th this year!
Think I may build a new net from pvc pipe for the regular 5 gal buckets for the next run!
Here is a few pictures from this morning after tucking the tops back under. Oh today is the 1st day of 12/12 though I won't start counting just yet!

Not moving water around with pumps I have a rented house so don't want to put holes in walls and ceilings if it was my house I'd have no problem doing anything and I wouldn't be restricted to a tiny closet!!
I did a little research this morning and read all I needed to about the lucas formula
And I'm not counting as such only the which week it is for feeding and boosters but as far as days go I'm not doing that again it, I'll go by the trichomes and overall look of the plant, my first grow paitents got the better of me and I have regretted it ever since!!

Hi guys, so the other day I was trimming away the underside of the plant I was expecting each leaf as it came off, I found spider mites, I thought shit, fuck what do I do! So I grabbed some cash and drove to the grow shop got myself a couple of smoke bombs. Well I never! Didn't realise how much smoke they let.off I only have a small room lol anyway I'm hoping this will help in fighting the mites off! Plant is as big as ever! Will get some pictures when I can
