Hydro cost?

I am wondering what other growers are spending in Hydro every month.
I know it depends on what you get charged KPh
and the size of grow


2 x 400watt hps/mh
1 x 6" inline on lowest setting
1 x humidifier
2 fans in tent
misc: timers and controllers

In full flower with everything cranked I am about 75$/month
In veg about 55$/month

about 200-225$ per grow

hell of a lot cheaper and safer then buying

You must have super cheap electricity. There's the price per kwh then there is the actual price of the electricity. To determine actually cost you need to know what percentage of electricity of the bill is for the grow.

Not trying to dis you. Im just jealous of how cheap your electricity sounds.

Yes. I did the math on this calculator

And it is within a few $ of what my Bill actually goes up when I light up the tent.

We are on a 2 tear system. The two rates adverage to 10.3 c/KW.

I'd be like this :leaf::hump: :hug:. if I had your rates. Would actually look forward to the bill if mine was that inexpensive. Lol

The most expense in a hydro setup is not as bad as you would think.

Depending on what dirt you use this method can get real expensive. My last grow in dirt was 7 plants. Those 7 plants cost me a total of 450-500 dollars from seed to finish with using Fox Farms Strawberry Fields (I think that's the name).

Walmart has a complete 4 site hydro system for $11.32 USD plus shipping, when its in stock. no kidding! The only other major repetitive expense is your nutes and seeds. Water does not cost much, now if you run a reverse osmosis system your water bill will go up quite a bit. Mainly due to the added waste water. Most reverse osmosis systems take 3 to 4 gallons of water to make 1 gallon of R.o. water.

Should be cheaper in flower. your lighting bill is reduced.

I plan on eventually trying a hydro grow DWC.

Nutes aren’t too bad. I buy 1L bottles. Grow bloom and a few others. And PH down.

150$ in nutes. I can do 4 grows of 5 plants. I think that’s pretty reasonable.

I think I am going to sit down and calculate what it cost me per Oz

im running 4" inline with 400watt MH, the inline is normally running no more than 50-75%, i do 20-4 schedule during veg, my setup costs me about $60 a month.

Right its an auto. I'm running a 600w hps and 6" inline on 50% along with about 150w in other power. Think i'm between 70-100 a month with water and nutes

Lol. Sorry. I forget some times. Im a autoflower guy.
I run a 20/4 light schedule all grow long.

Tent is not 100% light proof. And the room it is in get used and lights turned on. So after 1 savage hermi grow and a second with dealing with not being able to go in the room for 12hrs. I decided to just grow autos.

Never looked back. Going to try and start a perpetual grow in 1 tent.

Get fresh bud and a different strain every 3-4 weeks.

I Run 2 x 1000 watt HPS lights.
12000 btu ac
Dehueuy 30 pint
6", 4" and another 6" inline fans.

That totals about 1100 kw per month in flower.

Late vegging isn't much better if you veg long or top. those 18 to 20 hour days are quite costly
I did the math once. For the style of grow we use there isn't much between veg and flower.

That's a lot of money for nutes
I use maxi bloom in vag and flower
Costs 15 dollers a bag the bag lasts me 3 months for a complete grow of 50 plants
1 month veg and 2 month flower
Actually I still have some left over from every grow probly another 5 plants for the complete grow

"External use only " never put cannabis nutrients in your vagina.
