Today i build two systems, the hydro drip and the bubbleponics, am going to put my next set of clones in each.

My bubbleponics is set up for 5 pots.

My hydro drip is set up for 8 pots, which is still under construction.

So tell me what you guys think, and what info can you add to my builds.

Gotta love those super box totes! Easiest cheapest drip setups ever, I had a plant last spring on one that pulled in 13 oz.

You dont really need that elaborate piping system. 1/2 inch poly tube works well and is simple, no matter, looks like you have a workable system! Good job.

Run them 15 minutes on, 45 minutes off.
Plants in a drip system LOVE flowing, highly oxygenated water!

Thanks for the info, am still missing the timer and my clones are not ready yet, should be another week before the system is fully operational. Do you have any tips on grow solution's for the first run, do i use grow solution or regular water.
Also, if i use the grow solution, how often do i change the solution, and if i use regular water, how long before i can start pumping nutes.

You need to use liquid hydroponic fertilizer. General Hydroponics three part Flora series is probably the easiest to use.

You want to run a 1/4 strength solution, or even plain water, until you see roots coming out of the bottom of the pots, then you can crank the nutrients up. The roots pop out of the pots in a week or ten days. Once you have roots you can crank the nutes.

When you top off the reservoir (as the plants use water) keep track of how much you give them. Once you have added back an amount equal to the size of the reservoir, about 18 gallons in the case of the super boxes, it is time to change out the solution. Or to make it even easier just change out the solution every week.

Do you have a PH meter? You need one or, as a temporary measure, a PH test kit.

You should also have a PPM meter to measure dissolved solids (the amount of fertilizer in your solution.)

What kind of fertilizer are you planning to use?

well am not sure, hence the reason i asked, but ill try the one you talked about, the three part floral. would home depot have the ph meter and the ppm meter, by the way, what is another name for this ppm meter, in case i have to ask someone in the store, cause i don't know my self. what i do have is a ph kit, i also have a bottle of earht juice bloom, fish emulsion and some sugar daddy, i had that stuff for my out door plants, which doyou think i can use until i get the floral, thats if i can use any of them at all.

thanks for the help, there are'nt much good advicers out there aparently.

Three part flora series. You should be able to get it the same place you got your earth juice and your sugar daddy.

Fish emulsion isnt soluble enough for hydroponics, though it is a complete fertilier. I used to use it outdoors, and it is wonderful stuff, but it will clog up your system.

Sugardaddy isnt fertilizer, it is carbohydrates.

You can start idling with some of the bloom at 1/4 strength until you see roots but you need to get some General Hydroponics Flora series for growing.

Get your PH below 6 and keep it there

You can get a PPM meter at a hydroponics store. Same with a PH meter.
Ive seen really cheap PPM (disolved solids) meters at a hardware that sold culligan water softening stuff. You can also get them online. Just beware, you get what you pay for. Eventually you need at least a decent PH meter.

If you dont have a PPM meter (parts per million) you should do this:

When you get your GH flora, go with the strength recommended at their website and just top off with plain water during the week. Change out the solution weekly. As you go along ask on this forum for tips and help.

I still trip out on the job you did on your drip tables, They look professional as all hell.

Ive been doing hydroponics since last December and I started where you are now. No meters, no experience with it, nothing but a determination to give it a shot. Since then my yields per plant have doubled and tripled over what I used to get growing in dirt. Once you get the bare bones basics down, it's a lot easier than growing in soil and a lot more productive. It is a lot funner too.

thumbsuker thanks for all your help, next week am going to buy the flora and look for the ppm and the ph meters, also my clones are close to beeing ready.
By the way, that was my first build of that magnitude, i saw pics of that system and thought it looked cool, so i went out and bought all the necessary material that was needed to build it, the bubbleponics was the absolute easiest to build, after their both completed and i get all my meters and solutions, i will run both at the same time to see time diffrience. I will keep you posted, and thanks again for all your help. PS. not quite sure how to post reps, or otherwise i would give you mad reps.
