Thanks TT. Good thought! I want to make sure people don't get ripped off by them like I did. Here is their response after I told them I would bash them online since they were such pricks
Dear John,
You do realize that bythreatening to bash us the only person who is attempting any sort of"crook" behavior is yourself (it's called libel)? We havepolicies in place on our site and it is the consumers responsibility to READthem. Now you are getting irate towards our company, towards myemployees, and threatening us simply because you failed to read our policiesbefore brashly deciding to cancel your order? I have spoken with Vinceand he told me he offered you a FREE upgrade to a 126X light, which is$100 more expensive than the model you ordered and covers a larger area. He also offered you a $100 discount on the 126X-PRO should you wish to upgradeto that light (both of which are in stock) and you decided against eitheroption. Now you want to call us crooks when we offered you a freeupgrade, gave you the option to upgrade even further for a discount, and onlywhen you decided against it we refunded you as per your request, according toour published policies that you failed to read? Again, how is anythingwe've done wrong?
Had you waited for your84X-PRO regardless of the wait time (and our policies say it can take up to 3weeks to ship depending on if it's in stock or not), you could have returned itas per our 90-day return policy. Instead you chose to cancel of whichthere is a re-stocking fee, since we pay to produce your light regardless of ifits stocked or not. While I understand your frustration, you haveabsolutely no right nor bearing to bash our company online when we've doneeverything in our power to resolve this situation with you by means of anupgrade and/or discount. You still have the option to call in and changeyour order to another light, in which case the re-stocking fee you were chargedwould be re-applied to that purchase. We're not in business to takeanyone's money, we're simply not in business to lose business. We're inbusiness to sell and ship lights. If you want a light, let me know.
FUCK THESE GUYS!!!!!
Sincerely,
Cammie Mckenzie

I know it's been a year since this reply was posted but I feel the need to chime in anyway. His "threat to bash you" was not a threat at all. It was hyperbole and not illegal. Libel wouldn't apply since by your own admission you didn't ship his product and didn't fully refund his purchase. In every state in the union return policies are not subject to interpretation by private companies, they are well defined laws. Furthermore, regardless of whatever your expressed or implied return policies are that does not mean that they are in accordence of state, local, and federal laws regarding the uniformed commercial code. By your admission you did not have this product in stock. Further the purchaser has stated he was told it would take four weeks to receive his product. But by your own admission you reply by stating that your return policy covers products that are not received within three weeks.
I saw someone suggest contacting the BBB. That is one avenue open to consumers. However, there is nothing the BBB can do to enforce the law. The best avenue to get a company like this, one trying to profit on their own misrepresentations of consumer protection, is to contact the states attorney general where this company is registered. A second path would be to contact the state police. Believe it or not it is the responsibility of both these organizations to protect consumers. Since we are talking grow lights you may want to keep it at the attorney general level. Unlike the BBB once the attorney general or the state police get a complaint, there is a predetermined time frame for the business in question to reply to the complaint. It is also the responsibility of the business to offer a solution that meets the consumers satisfaction within reason of the law. If these steps are not completed within the predetermined period of time the attorney general or state police will send officers to the actual place of business and remove the business owners license right off the wall until a hearing is scheduled. That is not a threat, it is actual fact and they take it serious. This means they are out of business until a hearing can be scheduled. And whatever worry you might have buying a product that is often seen as being used for illegal activity, the state is even more displeased with companies that make, market, and sell these products. It Doesn't matter what is happening inside the business either. Customers could be walking around, deliveries being boxed up. Everybody get out, lock the front door and, if they make any attempt to re-enter the place of business for any reason they will be arrested on the spot.
Trust me the state has seen it all. And companies trying to make a profit on their own lack of customer service will be delt with.
The most important aspect of all this is no matter the outcome of your complaint at the AG level, once the AG gets enough complaints on the same business they will pull their business license. And whoever had their name on that business license will not easily be approved for a new one at a later date if ever. No business license, no business.
$100 restock fee for a product you don't stock is a f'n joke. Do you inform your purchasers that you don't make or stock all or some of the products that you sell? It's illegal not to. Someone should bash you!
