Hydro nutes in soil

I've heard that soil nutes cannot be used in hydro but hydro nutes can be used in soil. Makes sense to me. I was recently given a gallon each of B'CUZZ
HYDRO nutes part A (4-0-4) and part B (0-2-4) but have no idea how to apply them to soil growing. Anyone have any experience with doing this?
The instructions call for 1-3ml/litre of water then into the hydro system checking the concentration with an EC meter. I can't see straining water through the soil and checking ppm with a meter (like you can do with ph) as there would be a lot of other stuff in the water.
Any ideas?

I think it means to check the ec after you mix your nutes before feeding. but not sure.

your right there is no point measuring the ec after you put the water through the soil, it should be done before watering, but I wouldn't bother.... if you are using soil that has added nutrients or even just garden soil etc .. and you
add full strength hydro solution you will either kill or burn your plants, as they will be force fed all the hydro solution with the water they need. I have used hydro solution for soil growing, but only at 1/4 (or less) dilution, feeding the same
as you would any other soil plant, say once a week, then with pure water, or a water/tea with a bit of molasses or kelp in between feeding - thats my theory anyway ...

Hydroponic nutrients are designed to be highly water soluble, so in soil they end up just washing away before the plants can really use them. You'll do better using a slow releasing formula or mixing the soil with a good soilless medium like peat or coir.

sure you can feed hydroponic nutrient for your soil...if you can mix 50/50 of BCUZZ part A and B from start to finish. Keep it simple, buddy.

Nice thread here.

I've been using pH Perfect nutrients from Advanced Nutrients. And while I'm growing in hydro now, I've used AN in soil without any problems. Just check out the nutrient calculator on the site. I think you can find info on amounts there.
