Hydrogen Peroxide OD

I am having some problems with a fungus on the top of my soil. I tried misting it with a solution consisting of stablized hydrogen peroxide(3%) and water. The ratio was about 1:6, and I misted the leaves and made sure the soil got a good amount. The next day I noticed the fungus was no longer thriving on the soil, but my leaves had small orange and yellow spots. I thought this was fungus so I sprayed the leaves with more peroxide. Today my leaves are full of orange spots. I think that the peroxide must have bleached the leaves esecially since I did it under lights. Will my plant be able to recover? Anybody know about too much peroxide?

Thanks I will try to follow up with some pictures tomorrow.

Thats from bleaching.. Fortunately you used the weak peroxide so damage will be minimal. A rule of thumb, never spray anything on plants under the lights. If you do make sure you always raise the lights until leaves are dry.

If you just flushed them, then take and mix some peroxide in some water and run it thru them. It wont hurt them, you cant overwater by how much you give them , but by how often. The extra 0 in the peroxide will help them plus kill any fungus down in soil

Yeah I did that earlier today and flushed about 4 hours after. I think I might start giving them a solution during their dark periods in between waterings. Thanks for the help much appreciated +rep

I wouldnt worry bout hte solutions during the dark period, you need the soil to dry out in between waterings, help to cut back on bacteria and fungus growth. A good way to do watering is to get an empty pot the same size your using and fill with dry dirt. Pick it up and see what it weighs. Then when 1 with plant feels about the same weight you know its time to water. Just a suggestion.
And thanx for the rep.

I agree didn't mean between waterings maybe if the fungus picks back up I will do it again or every once in awhile to prevent it from occuring.

Listen to this post, and follow this advice, not following this advice is probably why you have a problem in the first place.

When i was in soil i used to use it every watering, gives roots a lil extra O2. You may want to get the higher strength though. It has a lot less stablizers in it, most people use the 29 to 32% peroxide.

Dont use H2O2 in soil. It kills all beneficial bacteria and micro organisms in the soil. Also dont spray it on the plant it burns the leaves when the lights come on .
