MAke sure you get some extra calibrating solution I always like to test it every few weeks make sure its ballpark accurate.
They will last probably a year, but they are cheap and better then spending 150 for a good one.

Get a digital Ph meter too, also cheap and better then constantly fucking with drops, and when your high sometimes its hard too focus on the right color.

Yeah get a combo or get them separate ...Look for one that reads temperature too .. In hydroponics you need to always pay attention to PPM , PH and reservoir temps.
