I dont know if this is possible but i think it might be. I mean like put like a 10 gallon reservoir. and put the nutrients in it and fill it up with water. But if any has any comments. just let em out.

Sure it is. An ex b/f's dad had a kick ass hydroponic greenhouse in his back yard. He grew all sorts of vegetables hydroponically. He had truckloads of money so he purchased a professional greenhouse package that came with all the piping and what not needed for the whole setup.
I think you could certainly do something on a smaller scale like the reservoir you mentioned.... I think your biggest challenge is going to be keeping the res temp. from getting too hot. If you live in a warm climate like me I don't know how you would keep it cool enough.

you could bury the res? it would stay cool if it were in the ground. at least i think it would?

The sun would still beat down on top of it..... and if you covered the top with dirt it would get into the res and clog up your water pump.
Really I think the only way would be some sort of res. chiller.... of course those cost a small fortune .....perhaps frozen bottles of water???? You'd have to stay on top of that all day though....
Controlling the temp is going to be tricky.... surely someone here will come up with something.... the stoners around this place are pretty ingenious!

You would have to run your reservoir from the insides of a working refridgerator, could be done with the minimum of work.

I was thinking about that too.... although I get feeling the idea to go outside is to save on the expense of a light..... so a small fridge would be an equal expense. Plus it would still have to be powered and covered in case of rain.
No doubt it could be done though.... good idea

You will LOVE IT!!! I built a hydro bubbler system and then read AZ's Hempy thread. Never even used the bubbler I built.... I went straight to hempy and I couldn't be happier. It's a breeze... pretty much idiot-proof .... damn near impossible to over-water and flushing is a SNAP if you fuck up on the PH & PPM.

I am just curious to know which setup would be easier to maintain, an outdoor hydroponics setup or an indoor hydroponics setup? From what I have read on different threads, an outdoor setup would also require some artificial lighting aside from sunlight, is this true?
