hydroponics/bubbleponics system help!

you added baking soda and it did all that? for how long? It must have been reacting with some acids in your solution... Did you check your pH after it finished bubbling?

i was just messing with ph buffers and at i just keep adding more and more bs because my ph wouldnt change so i then added freash lime juice and i guess thas what reacted with the soda but i really dont know but once i added lime the ph fell.


i dont know the exact lenght of time it bubled maybe around 8 hours or more.

Its first week of my bubble/dwc hybrid and my ph wont quite rising there are no nutes only one drop of h2o2 a gallon but i read it takes a couple of days to get the ph stabilized

Sounds like it keeps stabilizing but not to what you want it to... Nutrient mixes have built in pH buffers that make it a lot easier to control your pH. Maybe you have bad tap water???

yeah the ph is 8.9!

I dont know what to do i dont want to buy a ro machine i live in a apt.

Have you been letting your water sit out for a day or so? I would change your water solution and add some nutes, then see what happens from there.
