Hydroponics vs Aeroponics

OK im still new at everything here but that the hell is the diff. between Hydroponics and Aeroponics. which one is better?

look the same to me .... is aeroponics is the next new thing?? i never heard it before untill i join this site

Hydroponics is used to grow plants without soil. In hydroponics the roots are in water. Aeroponics is a type of hydroponics. In aeroponics there is no grow medium. The roots grow in air and you spray nutrient solution on them. If you implement aeroponics correctly the plants will grow faster than if you used hydroponics because the roots have access to all the oxygen in the air.
