Hydro's SOG Garden~5 Strains~2000 Flowering watts

Hello and welcome to my grow.
I just recieved my seeds from Attitude, they took a week to the midwest.

Here are the strains:
13 Kushberry from DNA Genetics
10 Strawberry Diesel from Sagamartha
FEM 5 Thai Super Skunk & 5 Power Skunk from G13 Labs (Freebies)
FEM 6 Durga Mata from Paradise

Germination:
Paper towel method, 90-100%. I drench a paper towel and put it with the seeds into a plastic bag. Don't close the bag tight. Put them in a dark warm place. I put mine either on top of the tv or the cable box. Cable box is a little better, warmer... I have ten strikes on the Kushberry in 8 hours. They are on hr 12 now, I will check again this afternoon.

Then I put them in a cereal box to block the light.

Mother Selection:
I will be growing my seedlings until I can take 5-6 clones off of each plant that I have an interest in flowering. I will then mark the clones according to their parent and move the parents into flowering. The clones taken from males will be discarded and the ones taken from fems will be used as the mothers in my operation. Those will be the permanent Phenotypes of the grow as I will continue to replace mothers with clones taken from themselves and so on and on and on....Figure 4-5 cuts can be taken off of a mother every two weeks> I will be taking about 50 cuts every two weeks so I will need about 10-12 moms. Each mom will need to live in a 1foot square area minimum! 1.5 is ideal.

Intro to a perpetual SOG:
SOG stands for Sea of Green. Perpetual SOG means having a continuous rotation using the SOG method. You can do any way u want but this operation is much more efficiently done using the 2 week method. You don't have to have a huge space to store moms. They stay pretty small since they are cut every two weeks. If you did this as a whole 8 week operation u would ahve to store your moms in a room that is just as big as the flowering room, and u wouldn't get any more bud. This method of growing doesn't involve any time spent vegging. The plants go directly from being cloned into flowering. Although u don't veg, u still need a small area for mother plants and a cloner box, or w/e u use to clone. This way you need to grow a lot more plants than conventional methods, but HID lights can't penetrate too far below the canopy anyways so the lower buds don't grow well w/o side lighting, even then they are not like the colas. In a SOG you only grow colas, thats it, basically everything else is trimmed off during the process so all the energy from the plant is used for the best part. Also, the lights are constantly used to produce buds so u get a much better gram per watt ratio. Advantages go on and on in this style of growing. Especially for indooor growers.
I learned everything I know about SOG from Al B Fuct. His ideas are responsible for 80% of my grow room design. I made a few changes though. I will not be rotating table to table. The plant will live in the same tray it's whole life. Due to room size, and several different strains with different flowering times this will keep a better order on things.
My goal is still to pull a harvest approximately every two weeks.
As soon as plants come out ready to harvest more clones are ready to go in. That is the key to the op, no matter how often u harvest, when u harvest u have to have more clones rooted and ready to go.

After 14 hrs, we got 12 0f 13 strikes on the KB and 7 of 10 on the SD-Light. I didn't even check the others yet, my main concern are these 2 strains...
Well another load of stress off my back. If u have been seeing me around u will have noticed I have been in a shit mood. I had a 2 month escapade w/ Doc Chron and bottom line is I will never shop there again. Even if he starts shipping here aghain.

Medium:
I will be using a mixture of RW and perlite for the mothers, (1/3 Floc and 2/3 perlite). I wouldn't normally do this but I have about 150 litres of perlite laying around. Once I start my SOG I will be using 25% floc, and 75% fytocel.
Fytocel is a fantastic medium. It wicks water well and holds massive amounts of air at the same time. I have seen people switch to Fytocel from floc and bulk up their grow by nearly 25%. Don't forget to PH the RW prior to adding seedlings. 30 1" cubes in 6 litres of 5.5 solution for 24 hours will get the cubes to a PH of about 5.8.

Nutrients:
Once again, for the moms I will be using some stuff just to get rid of it. I have some Gen Hydroponics Micro/Grow/Bloom, and some Botanicare Power Flower.
For the SOG op I wll be using all Botanicare: HydroGuard, Pure Blend, Liquid Karma, CalMag, and Hydroplex. I will also be using a a couple of beneficial bacterias for the root system besides Hydroguard, but I would like a few recommendations on some good products. Diamond Nectar is a possibility.

I previously stated Al B's ideas are 80% of my room. Really my whole room is based off of Al's. I made a few modifications but for the most part I'm a copycat grower.
He gave me permission saying it is best for newb growers to find an op and copy it to the T. I just wanted to clear that up, sice I have a critic watching my every move, I would hate for him to be misled.

Hey Raiderman, glad u stopped by. I know, fucking people are unreal. This guy is a friend of the DOC. He has nothing better to do but read all my threads and follow me around. Whatever...

Anyways, all my Kushberry are popped, I thought the Strawberry D was popped too but I have bad eyes and it was only a ring of white, showing where the water was losening it up... So after 36 hrs I have 13 KB, 2 Thai, 2 Power Skunk, 1 Strawberry D, and 0 Durga Mata.

The orange bud looks good! I cant wait to see that G13xHP u got going on. I had that shit once up here. I liked it...
I picked up some SourD, and Purple Kush shipped from Cali last night, I haven't had good shit in a couple weeks, so I'm happy...

in texas there is no good smoke , unIess you grow it yourseIf.

Here is my room, finnally! It took forever to get to this point. I still have to run all my hoses and make a couple cuts, and adjustments here and there. All in all I'm really happy with the results.

Good thing u do what u do. Their are a lot of beasters here. If u want something good u either have to grow or know the grower. In this case I know the growers friend. It's always either BlueberryxNL, Da Purps, or SourD. It has been for the last year anyways.

Well, I made another amature mistake. I turned my heat mat up one notch last night and went to bed, I come home for lunch this afternoon and the thermometer said 102 degrees... Looks like I can't stop fuckin up. I'm such a rookie. I'm demoting myself from a year experience to first grow...

If anyone wants to talk shit to that please do, I deserve it... I feel like whoopin my own ass right now... I think I'm gonna order a couple more seeds and see if I cant get them to sprout before I kill them...lol...

its hard to keep those things perfect. i dont use a thermos. on the seedIings ,i just use the heat mat aIone, 102 F .it happened to me Iast year , 12 hours, seeds stiII came up. if Ionger than that i dont know.i'm jeaIous of your room , very impressive, weII thought out mechanics. good job, defin. 4 star job.

I wont beat ya up! Just wanted to point out that I recently started some seeds and I used the cable box method. Well, my HD/DVR cable box gets way TOO HOT! had no luck, moved them to an empty drawer (room temp) and overnight almost all had popped. Your grow looks great, and remember if it weren't for the fuckups we would never learn anything.

Your jealous of my room, and I'm jealous of your growing skills. If we could combine we would be in good shape. A good room won't get u anywhere when it's empty, but if u can grow even a couple closets will get u where u want to be... U don't know how much the encouragement helps right now. I appreciate it!

I should have said something about that! Sorry!! My old cable box used to be a torch, this one is perfect as long as u keep the door open. Stays at a perfect 90 as long as the room temp is under 80.

Thanks so much for the encouragement, I really hope I can operate that room. I'm really kind of worried about it. I have a lot riding on this grow...

Damn, I'm so pissed at myself! I'm worried I fried them. Talk about learning lessons the hard way.
The Kushberry's still have good looking root tips, but havn't budged since they cracked. I'm assuming they arent going to show that they are dead becuz they are wet. Anyone know for sure?
After the whole temperature incident a Thai skunk has progressed, so maybe a good sign? I really don't think it looks good though. The 48 hour mark is now, how much longer should I wait for movement?.
