I don't know where you're getting your information but Greg Krzanowski, the creator of Chemdog is alive and well. It's not that hard to get legit cuts. Lots of people have kept the genetics going. Yes some people might pass off fakes for the real deal, but there are plenty of trusted sources. To each their own though.Cool pic.
here is the deal when it comes to those so called real deal clones. First one would have to believe that the person who is offering the clone is actually in possession of it.
For real, everyone should know by now that just because someone claims to have, a “legit cut”, whatever that is. doesn’t mean that they actually do.
We see all the time, where groups will band together and try to something off, hype it as a legit version of this or that.
Who is to say rather the cross is authentic or not. The creator of the cut can’t since they aren’t usually not around anymore to dispute the legitimacy of what is being offered in their behalf.
Both gg4 and chem d where both offered under the same circumstance where the creator had past. In fact most legendary cuts came about due to the creator passing.
I wouldn’t thing a guy who didn’t pass his work off in life would be able to after death.
Come on now. We see those type of going ons all the time in the cannabis game where someone passes and then all of a sudden, a relative is passing out their work. Or some magical seeds that are popping after 30 years of being in a jar. Unfortunately, that type of stuff doesn’t happen in real life. But you can believe what you want to.
As for me, I prefer to take a more personal route when it comes to the genetics that I put my resources into. I mean that if I was just growing a plant for smoking purposes, any thing off the shelf would do. However, if I had doing some breed work on my mind, a clone is the last thing that would ever consider using.
Why would I not consider using a clone for breeding. Because under most circumstances, there is no way to prove the legitimacy of the genetics. Secondly, just because something is ok to smoke, doesn’t make it alright to breed.
I know this post is going overboard, however I feel that what I’m saying is something that even seed buyers need to know. Why on earth would it take 1000 seeds to find a keeper in a worked line.
Realistically it would take at least 100 X 10 count seed packs to find something worth while. Which is unfeasible giving the price of popular genetics. Even at $35 a seed pack, it would still equate to $3500 just in seeds to do a search.
Be reasonable with oneself. Do you think a guy who bickers about spending $3 a seed is going to invest $3,500 + to do a pheno hunt.
Therefore repeat what I just said to you while looking over the tons forums posts where guys talk about what they spend on seeds. Then ask yourself, is that the circle that you want to be in.
Then say to yourself, the clone that you are working with, comes from someone with the same mentality. And also someone who refuses to spend over $1 dollar for a seed.
When you finish talking with yourself, take a step back and look at the tanking cannabis industry.
Yeah, that’s what it feels like.
This link even shows where you can get legit cuts of the Chemdogs. Pretty cool.
