I only bubbled for an hour. Just trial and error. Since I bubble water while soaking seeds. Kind of follwing what beer brewers do. I haven't found anything that says enzymes increase or decrease by bubbling. Just watching how plants react. This last watering I saw more praying (lower leaves too) with bubbling. Next time I wiil do without bubbling
first time doing sst 2.0 with mung beans. Did it with barley last time with 2.0
Marijuana plants are atheist hyroot. They're not praying, they're doing the wave. :-)

Plants are looking stellar bro!

I usually bubble my water for 10-20 minutes because i always fall behind on watering and dont have the time to bubble too long... my city water must be pretty decent also often times no bubbling, I can't say I see a difference but I still bubble mostly to pump oxygen in the water

I wanna see some party cup pics slacker;-) .......

So is it true that gypsum decreases your need to add perlite/aeration in the medium? And I need an alternative as my supply is running low soon......so what do the pros around here recommend? Rice hulls/grow stones $$/small lava rock/etc.....info from experience appreciated

Be safe and keep red away from your daughters:-P

I have been busy sucka ass sucka. Will post updates in the comp thread shortly.

for aeration, pumice or rice hulls or coco chunks. The more peat and compost and castings vs aerating media. The more microbes.

red ain't going anywhere near my younger kin.

Hi hy,
Have you started your clover mulch yet?
yes. I planted seeds in soil on wed without germing them and they sprouted 2 days ago. Will update shortly.

nl og # 3. random lower bud. I don't know how much I got til i pick up a new scale. I estimate about 2 - 2 1/2 zips per plant. I will post pics for the cbk in a couple days. It took longer to dry and I don't open jars for the first 5 days at all.

Just a little heads up (i know you dont use this method...but) Aloe vera and coconut water dont work (at least quickly) for bubble cloners...i assume the active ingredients in Aloe wont last the distance....as for the coconut water....im not sure...so im back to finding a new organic alternative to my bubble cloner...still havent tried willow yet...hmmm where to look.... ?

  • Hey everybody. I finally made my way into the local organic earth store and those people are really smart. A lot of the things I heard from them mirrored the good info on here. Total living soil microbial minded people. All most too helpful talk, talk, talk. lol.

They didn't have sphaghum peat and sold me on coir pith.http://www.bridgewellresources.com/f...riculture.aspx They told me these are grown further inland so the salt isn't there to need to be leached. Any thoughts on that? Should I play it safe and rinse anyway? I have huge amounts of stair-step moss growing around my house. I was thinking of harvesting some of that and doing an experiment. It has antibacterial qualities.

http://www.barefootsoil.com/ Here is the ewc I got there.

    http://www.olyfish.com/
and the compost. It does contain a fair amount of sticks but I liked the local part and it seems good.

I got 2 bricks of coir, 2 bags of compost and 1 bag of ewc. I also got a bag of medium sized volcanic aeration, and some glacial rock dust. So I'm still missing some meals and some of the rock dust parts. I'm looking for some feedback on what I've collected so far and advise on the coir.

Rinse that coir out a ton, keep running water through it. Add some form of calcium product like oystershell flour and some mychoriziah product although they are in your compost already. Check your ph, I find my coco plants happiest at 5.8-6.0, coco is a wonderful thing especially if you let it cook.

Thanks May. I was planning on rinsing after thinking for a second. Too much invested to skip steps. Any thoughts on wetting agents for the cook? With everything in the compost I am thinking some molasses and water.

steel header, I usually run something to boost root growth , not to heavy just a very light feed, I still have bio root left from general organics and it does a good job, when I run out of that stuff I will prob just do a aact on the soil im.making up, yeah dont skip steps or it will set you back, it set me back from not rinsing coco, youll see some horrible stuff with unrinsed coco, I have some ulgy plant pics floating around from it, I looked at ingredients to bio root and looks like kelp and alfalfa meal are the big 2, so charge that shit up and give us some pics when ya start growin in it , I love Coco but In small containers it can be a bitch, I had some happy coco plants in 20 gal smart pots, I just hate having to feed every watering so I switched to a supersoil mixture, that and I just like trying new stuff out, im about to smoke a joint, all the commotion of thanksgiving gave me a horrible headache, munchie time. Later yall. Going to sit back and relax today and get some transplanting done. Bless you all.

fresh aloe breaks down within minutes. I don't do cloners. Just watch my video a few pages back and I show how I do clones. I have not used fresh coco water in a while. Just been doing sst's and compost teas
