I am trying to Veg and flower in same room

my entire space to work with is about 10X10 the closet could be an option for extra space but i would have to fix the track and everything its basically just used for drying ATM. I figured i would flower in a tent with 1kw HPS and veg mother/clones outside the tent with a 8 tube 4 foot T5 system, maybe supplement CFL but proably not necessary. i wanted to veg some for outdoor use but a friend i was brainstorming with asked me, what are you gonna want more of, vegging plants or flowering plants, naturally you want more buds, so he suggested i would veg plants in the tent and flower plants put pf the tent, but all still within the 10X10 room. As i started researching tents I immediately started considering how I could build a tent myself as It would be cheaper but i figure with my less than novice carpentry and motor skills i would probably allow lots of light leaks to be created. But after a little research a good amount of the tents have light leaks anyways... so if the veging plants leak that extra 4 hours onto the flowers could that cause hermie or stress??? ahh lol

Why not just run 12/12 from seed? Start 5 or 6 plants every month, harvest 5 or 6 plants every month. Never have to worry about light leaks and you cut your power bill almost in half. Easy peezy bro.

Light leaks are going to mess with your plants and will seriously effect flowering. You can build a tent out of panda film, duct tape and PVC pipe without any "skills". The easiest solution for a perpetual harvest would be one light and auto flowering seeds.

I already have the t5,s and they r great for veg y not use em? I am aiming for SOG anyway so should I just start a mom clone closet in the next room? The reason I want to avoid alto of autos (I already have 5 auto seeds) and 12/12 from seed is because I want to have my own mothers sell extra clones under 215. And I do not want to keep buying more seeds. Autos do not clone

10x10' divide to 2 rooms veg and bud, ensure the bud room is 75% larger than the veg room, you get stretch, forget the 1kw light and go for 2 600w Mh/hps that way at the flick of a switch you got Mh or HPS...keep the t5 for clones/germing

I would/did build a veg cabinet inside room. I am using a walkin closet for my operation and I built a veg cabinet inside the room. 2x4's and 1/4 " plywood. Paint it white inside and out and it works perfect. Door on hinges. I take clones from plants just before putting into flower. No need to keep mothers. Take a few more clones than you actually need and keep the strongest ones . Sell or destroy the remaining clones.I haven't bought any clones in a couple years. You can also make a few extra clones and veg then real nice so you can perhaps swap a strain with another grower.

I have a 12x6 room with a 4x4 tent inside. I use the tent for veg, The rest of the room is for flowering. I got my tent from Amazon for less than $100. I don't keep mom plants either, just take clones before I put plants into flower.
