  • I am on day 4, and I am worried that my two plants are not growing properly. They are both really small
I dont know if that is normal for this strain, or not. Like I told you before, I am using a grow tent from htg, with 250 hps at about 10" to 12" away from my plants. They are growing in 16 oz cups with FFOF. My light cycle is 18/6, and I am keeping the temps between (81 to 82) degrees F. I am not using any nutes, and I only water them when they look, and the soil feels super dry. On average I prob water one to two times during the 18 hrs, with 6 ph spring water. I have not measured how much water I give them, Sorry. any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks again!!!

Get a plastic water bottle cut it in half and place over the plants, the humidity will help them grow they will love it, did it to one of my little ones that didnt grow much and it made a considerable difference. Whats is your humidity percentage?

The higher the better for veg you want it anywhere up to 80 mine atm is at 60ish. What i did was get a big tray and put water on it then put the pots on the tray. Makes the humidity go up. I wouldnt worry though cause as they grow the humidity rises. I have never done autos. It should be great at a 60ish range :) but yeah use the plastic bottles make sure the labels off them though. Leave them on for a while see how they cope. You dont need to water them once a day either, I'd wait till the pots are light I didnit every couple of days and not loads found that better.

The fanned leaves on one just started to droop??? Any ideas what may be causing that? I forgot to mention that I transferred them from small tree bark starter cubes (from HTG). I'm made humidity domes because my humidity is at 41% and the temp is about 81. I have the light about 14 inches above the plants, and raised the ph to about 6.5.

When did you transfer it? Pretty recently? If you did that may be why, just a little stress maybe? Nothing to worry about leave it a couple of days before you water again if its dried out and she'll perk up :)

LOL :-)I will lay off the watering my dude. I dont mean to sound stupid, but when you say FEED, do you mean nutes, or water??? I have fox farm trio for my nutes, but I have not used it yet. I read my seedlings couldn't take it this early in the game. I just finished day 4. Thanx!!! SOLD!

The first little leaves under the normal ones. Cant remember their names. They will die off and when they do its a sign to start a feed :) when you feed do it at quarter strength and build it up gradually so it isnt too much for them! Good luck with your grow!

You have some poor watering habits. No way should you be watering a 16 oz party cup twice a day. Water them well, entire cup not just around the plant, until you get some run off from the bottom of the cup. Then do not water again until the cups feel light, usually like 4-7 days. Remember over watering is caused by watering too frequently. Not by watering too much when they need it.

The first set of round leaves are called cotyledons.

Use the cups aslong as you can aslong as the plant has room to grow :) wait for the first set of leaves to completly die off :) they are looking nice though :)

I dont know if putting a dome over them is such a good idea. I know seedlings will die if they recieve too much humidity. They need fresh air. The pot looks plenty big too hold enough water even with your higher temps. When you water, make sure you water thoroughly and that it is all equally moist. The excess water should drain out the pot if you have good soil.

I grew flash's Purple auto mazar as well as some other autoflowers last year. They were very small compared to regular plants, and they were slower growers too. These plants could very well be related. Even outside in the sun they never got that big. I think it's just a trait of the autoflowers really.

  • Here's an update. I am on day 7. My temp is around 78 to 79 F. Both 16 oz cups are feeling pretty light! I have not watered either one of them since Thursday night. I upped my airflow, and I am still using domes for humidity. Here are some pics. The one that I was spazzing out on Friday night, is now not looking so helpless. Thanks everybody for the help!!!!!! P.S. Should I lay off watering for one more day???

Also, should I transplant plant#2 to its final home? I am using 3 gallon pots, for their final home. Like I said, it feels light, but damn round leaves have not fallen off yet???
