i bought dirt not soil

i went to HD an bought some soil an top soil an what you know i put the top soil for my plants an the other bag had mold or some kinda of weird stuff in. an i just looked at my and realized im using top soil an i almost a month in an my plants are turning yellow so i posted up about it an was told a nitrogen def so i was like ok an I had all purpose mg liquid kind so i been using that at 1/4 of recommended but 1 of the plants is good but the other one looks like this

idk if its leaf burning or if its temp problem if it was would the other one be the same right

check the soil and make sure its not saturated.... dig down like 5 inches and make sure its not to wet. check your ph too

The bottom leaves are dying first so its probably what you thought, a nitrogen deficiency. Ok and top soil has like no nutrients in it so start using full dose nutes man!

Edit: I have heard bad bad things about miracle grow, go get some quality nutes from a hydro store they might work better. And while ur there get some quality soil as well like fox farm happy frog or light warrior or something as long as its better than just top soil.
