I broke a plant...

Basically I have a 2 foot tall Grand master kush plant, I had Fim'd it, and it had 2 main off shoots. I hadn't watered it in about a day and a half and I guess it was brittle. I broke one of the main off shoots. It's still attached by a decent amount, but it split about an inch down in length.

I duct taped it back. Is that whole branch going to die? might it fuse back with itself? Again it's not severed, just broken.

it'll be fine. and it will heal into one piece like it was before. it does fuse itself back together kinda. but you shoulda wrapped some papertowel around the outside and put the duct tape on that so u can remove the tape when its healed and not constrict the branches size. if u cant take the tape off the branch will not get any thicker really.

Yea I find scotch tape works much better in these kind of situations. The plant will heal and most likely that part of the branch will be stronger than before but getting that duct tape off will be a bitch. Scotch tape comes off real easy and doesn't tear the skin off the stems.

You did the right thing and it should be fine.
It's easy to do, especially after budding when the stems become woody, but they heal remarkably well.:bigjoint:

Awesome, I'm glad to hear it. They're still in veg state, though I was hoping to flower in the next couple days, I guess I'll put it off a week to let that stem heal up. I used 2 thin strips of duct tape (each 1/4th the width of a regular peice) so it should be easier to take off. Thanks for the quick reply guys.

I had a fimmed plant LST'd on a wooden pallet. i was moving it and the fucker tipped over, it ripped the FIMM junction kinda in half and almost took one of the main cloas off. i mended as best i could and it hardly missed a beat. ive broken several limbs in this grow, mended them and they keep growing.

its a tough plant.
